  1. We enjoy many of the ones already mentioned, but thought I'd add to the list by mentioning that we love any of the rayman raving rabbids games - you can get some of the older ones pretty cheap, and they are awesome. We also ADORE both of the Just Dance games..I'm looking at the newest Rayman game and the Dance on Broadway for holiday gifts this year...
  2. my 9yo daughter LOVES the Baby Mouse and Fashion Kitty graphic novels - she's been a Baby Mouse fan for a couple of years and just recently added Fashion Kitty to the mix.
  3. Our liquor store does too. My kids love going there...hmm, wonder how this booze=yummy-sugary-goodness thing will play out for them as adults :D When I was a kid my dad owned a liquor store for a while. I specifically remember hanging out there with him and if he thought a customer was coming, my sister and I had to quickly run to the back to hide as it was illegal for kids to be in there - this was in OK during the 70s.
  4. I just got one too a few days ago and also wasted some time trying to peel that screen off :tongue_smilie:
  5. Most communities have mental health centers where therapy is offered for free or reduced fees (like on a sliding scale) - also if you live near a university, there are usually programs set up through the grad schools that offer reduced-fee treatment options. :grouphug:
  6. There are ways to cheat on it :-) Someone mentioned cheating to me once (because I do get high scores, but not like what you describe.) When my friend teased me about it, I thought there was no way one could cheat on an online game like that, but google proved me wrong. Apparently there are several ways to cheat, so maybe! :D
  7. My daughter just uses Windows Movie Maker - its free too (came with her Windows 7 laptop, and with my Windows Vista desktop) and pretty intuitive. She figured it out all on her own (she's 11) - she hasn't done the clay-mation, but has done some stop-motion stuff with her stuffed animals and I was pretty impressed what she'd done in her first few attempts! She added captions and a soundtrack to her last one!
  8. The other night I found myself saying something to my nine year old that I never thought I'd utter - "Its 11 o'clock and I'm SERIOUS, put your math book away. You can do more tomorrow - go to sleep!"
  9. Our group just uses lulu.com - very good quality and super affordable.
