  1. Does he mind singing? My dd is very good at clamming up and is much more responsive to memory work in song form.
  2. Can you see if any messages about meetings and other upcoming activities can be provided in writing so ds does not have to talk about it?
  3. I kill watches and remember the 5 1/4" floppy disks? I erase those if I am not very, very careful.
  4. On another thread it was mentioned that each American Girl had a hobby or art form that she was passionate about. I would like to know if any of the protagonists or their close friends are interested in playing a musical instrument and if so which American Girl(s) and what instrument(s)? Dd7 has read a few American Girl books and has shown an interest in playing musical instruments.
  5. My dd loves Cam Jansen books, they are easy for her now but she still enjoys them. I bought a few of the Rainbow Fairy books for dd when she was younger but she never really fell in love with them. I would use the library to get an idea what she likes if you can.
  6. On the subject of harps, I agree with the bolded in regard to concert/pedal harps. However, folk/Celtic harps tend to be much less expensive. I am currently looking at new harp that would be an upgrade for me that would cost less than $600.
  7. :iagree:That sort of thinking by schools is probably somewhere in the top 5 reasons I homeschool. When authorities say things like that I am not inclined to trust them at all.
  8. I would have her checked for kidney stones and if that is not the problem I would seriously consider putting her down.
  9. Cheese grits are wonderful, but I also enjoy grits and gravy especially when I am not counting calories.
  10. :iagree:I would also state that you found the grocery list confusing since in your experience the person you care for does not eat x, y and z. I would state that I would also be reluctant to do someone's laundry w/o knowing if they have sensitivites to certain detergents or work with other clients who do or if their clothing requires any other special care.
  11. I would definitely try to find out the rules from a supervisor. Ideally, I would try to get a copy of the rules in writing. If the same receptionist keeps telling you different rules, the next time she does I would ask to speak to her supervisor.
