Thank you all! I think at the moment she's just trying to figure out how to parent this kid better. Does anyone know of any good online communities? I think her friends have NT kids and so she's getting a lot of useless advice and input and is feeling pretty discouraged. 😞 Anne

I have a friend with a 12 yo child whom they suspect has Aspergers. The child is lined up for testing (in a couple of months, I think) and I think some counseling, but she needs some better tools now. Anyone have anything to suggest? TIA! Anne

When my local grandchildren outgrow the toys I have saved (which live at my house b/c I see the grandchildren frequently), I will discuss their eventual fate with my local child and then with my non-local children. If I didn't see any of the children frequently, I would leap right into discussing with my children what they wanted/didn't want. And, unless I was NEVER going to see my grandchildren, I would definitely keep some things for the kids to play with when they visit. Anne

Our church does baby showers for every baby born in our congregation - and we have lots of babies!! 🥰. Subsequent babies tend to get more cash in the cash envelope than first babies - but each one receives gifts and is celebrated and welcomed!! Anne

Taco cabbage: sauté ground meat of choice - could use chicken too - Add chopped cabbage. Season with chili powder - 1-2 tsp. Add 1 cup of salsa of your choice. Simmer covered until cabbage is done. Dairy people can top with shredded cheddar cheese. Easy and yummy.
