I have a couple of guys renting rooms at my house. 🙂 Cleaning expectations, if any. I have one that never washes his (my!) sheets! Yikes! that will be discussed before he returns! Communication expectations. I want to know if my guys are not going to be home for dinner. You may not need that - you may have other needs. Parking - where is his vehicle going? Shower & laundry times - whatever that might look like at your house. Anne

We camp in our RV in bear country frequently. I keep food of any and all description in the fridge. I do try not to have any kind of smelly food open in the trailer. So, for example, the bread in its wrapper is sitting on the shelf with the wrapped cookies, peanut butter jar with the lid on, etc. Anything like pepperoni, smoked salmon, etc. would go into the fridge. One of my best trips just happened recently. My sister and I visited the San Juan Islands. We went kayaking, whale watching, and hiking. We ate fabulous food. We sat on the deck of our rental and drank wine, and we lounged in the living room and read books. And we talked…. It was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations I’ve ever had. Anne

I think you’re doing the right thing transitioning to staying home more!! You articulated all the reasons you wanted to do that and I encourage you to keep reminding yourself about the priorities you stated! You haven’t abandoned your daughter - you’re still giving her a lot of help. Honestly, she may need to find some additional sources of help also, and that’s okay - you don’t have to be the only source! I know it’s hard, though! Anne

My dad loves to garden but has completely given up. 😞. The deer eat almost everything. What the deer don’t eat, the raccoons and the squirrels do. Anne
