  1. Wondering as well. How it is similar to WWE?
  2. I;m saying maybe because it was late and is cold so he wanted to make sure you knew it case it needed to be brought inside?
  3. I had 3 books outstanding for over two months. I was so upset and when I was about ready to file a complaint they found them all three on the shelves in proper places.
  4. My oldest we started in alpha, we had already completed RS A so that was the reason. I started my other son in Primer, it is a good solid base, but moved way to slow for him. He's naturally more "mathy"
  5. SO... are the full lists online? What's the point of buying the book if so?
  6. I LOVE this idea, I am stealing it. We have a large fire pit and live in the country so it would be perfect for friends, family, neighbors!
  7. I have issues. I seem to never make it past Egypt... I need to streamline my expectations and do less
  8. Oh no :( We had no water pressure last night and have a well. My husband about died when he found out the water was left on most of the day/night by my oldest. Luckily it came back and the pump wasn't burnt. Monday got the best of me (ok well my kids did).
  9. Haha, this is funny because I rarely yell or make a big fuss out of coats. But, I will yell to put on a hat. So odd right?? But no, my kids will come back and put more clothing on as needed, even down to carharts. We live in the country though so great grandma is the only one to make a fuss when she comes over ;) If I had neighbors they would probably turn me in for letting them be so free range, lol! It fosters creativity.
  10. If St. Mary of the Woods is one of the options I have a family member that is a professor for piano, they have a wonderful music program, I also know the professor in charge of the trombones and brass instruments. I would honestly say SMWC is so much better, it is a gorgeous campus with wonderful students and teachers. It is an all female campus except for the male WED students that are around for a day and are mostly married, working adults. They have a very neat sustainable green house set up and do a lot of neat programs. It is further away from Terre Haute and near Illinois and like I said, laid back and beautiful campus. I enjoy how much Terre Haute has to offer with still being close to the city.
  11. That's a normal day though, sad to say.
  12. Thanks Steven, that is a great tip! I am sure I would do the same.
  13. I was reading this and it helped some too http://satorismiles.com/category/1-subjects/math/
  14. Ok I missed that it was for you DD college? I was thinking family transfer, doh! What is she going to school for? I attended ISU, but if she could go to Rose I would find any way possible to send her. They have the best reputation with the highest job placement that I've heard of. It is a very nice campus.
  15. I live near Terre haute so I can give you input on that area :) However am not familiar with Evansville. TravIS out of Evansville is getting better now that parts of I69 are opened! Rose Hulman is a wonderful college and most of the professors I know homeschool, so very supportive in that area (I do know a couple that don't, but most do). We have an active homeschool community with a lot of support. We do have a lot to offer, but not nearly as much as the Indy area. Parts of Terre Haute smell, but not the areas I'm sure you'd be looking into moving to :) If you do come to this area send me a message and I can make sure you have plenty of contact information! What specifically are you wanting/looking for?
  16. Ok, I was calling it something simlar, but wrong order so I was confused ;)
  17. It seemed very early compared to most people. I always carry a ton of extra babyweight and gain around 60lbs, but it is gone a few months later after breastfeeding. People always have some dumb comment to pregnant people, I swear. WIth my first I showed early too, second was super early, I didn't show until 6-7 months with #3 for some odd reason, and super early with #4.
  18. Oh I am awesome at naps too! I garden/can/cook a lot more than most. I enjoy it and am pretty good at it. I am good at taking care of the farm when DH is working hours that keep him away. I'm also good at knitting and can make almost anything I want (when I have the time). I'm also one of the best procrastinators I know...
  19. Duck dynasty and Once Upon a Time. Hands down.
  20. This all comes back to too many medical interventions accross the board. Women of all ages have historically have had children when no means of birth control was available. So why is it suddenly a problem? I'm going to assume part of it is all the poisons we put on/in our body and by the time we have gotten older it is crossing over? But not all people are waiting just because of a career. I'm sure some women would have loved to have babies earlier. I have mom friends of all ages and I think it is neat to gleam information from all ages of motherhood :)
  21. I'm guessing the point is to make it easier to remove them and pull them up (and not to bang and crack while bouncing around!) I would invest in the can puller without question.
  22. Someone on food stamps is screwed either way. If they buy junk how dare them! If they buy healthy meats then no fair because I can't afford it!! So I say buy the lobster, steak, and shrimp... enjoy.
  23. Having a society that generally eats unhealthy, tell one that is on food stamps what is healthy seems absurd. How do they know a family isn't on a special diet because of an illness or dealing with food allergies? How can you judge the person in front of you with a nice purse/nice clothing and not know what personal hell they are going through? How do you know that they haven't just lost everything they held dear and are struggling? What if a woman in a nice coat with a coach purse walks up to pay for a cart of groceries with food stamps and you judge her, only to find out that she has lost her husband and was the mom staying at home with no means to work? How do you know that the person paying for a cake is only able to give her daughter a princess cake for her birthday and nothing else? That is her only way to make that day special? Should her daughter suffer? What if the candy they are buying is the only gift that Santa will be bringing this year? What if the person's husband was disabled in war? How dare someone judge another. You have no idea what that person has been through or is going through. We always think the worse and become jelouse. Maybe it is time to step back and look within your judegements :(
  24. I am very lucky in that we live on a farm and have cedar trees. They are in no way perfect, and are a pain to hang things on. But- they are free. You make do with what you have/do not have. Maybe you could drive out to a farm and find a "free" tree that isn't designer??
