  1. Thanks SO much Lolly! And Stripe. That helps so much! :D
  2. I'm helping a friend who is trying to find resources to help her son with issues that need vision therapy. I'm giving her info on actual VT, but wanted to give her some other resources in case she's not able to afford/get it her area. I remember seeing a link to a website with exercises to do at home. It may have even been a booklet with various things a vision therapists gave patients to do at home. But for the life of me, I can't find it after much searching  Anyone know what I'm talking about? Anyone have any other helpful links to things you can work on at home, specifically he's struggling with convergence. He's already doing the Brock string, but that's it. Thanks a bunch!:001_smile:
  3. My kids love the cheese filled tortellini. It's a good price and they like it Better than the tricolor stuff at Costco. We just moved away from TJ and miss it. We also always bought milk there. And I love the citrus shower gel.:D
  4. Oh good!:) thanks for that Sarah! This is going on my birthday-in-2-weeks list. But watching to see what else you French Press experts recommend :bigear:
  5. :bigear: been thinking I need to make the switch too. Do you have to grind fresh? Or can I just have Starbucks do it course? I hate the mess of doing that daily.
  6. Just subbing so I can glean from everyone's experience before I try to do our iPads. :bigear:
  7. This looks amazing! Wish I had seen it last week before ordering the new TT PA 2.0  oh well! It will be a good go to resource for questions.
  8. Yes, I do know all about the practice and the teachers ability to track stuff. I'm just old-fashioned and would like a text too. Thanks though! I know a lot of people see the videos to Khan and never see all the other tools! Sal really should show it more front and center ;)
  9. I'm going to be bringing my oldest back home. He's doing pre-algebra. We are familiar and have used Khan a good bit, but not as our main program. I'm hoping to use it as a spine but would really like something on paper. Are there any worksheets that you know of to tie in with Khan? Should I just pick up a pre-algebra book and tie in with that? I think he's using Saxon at school, but am open to something traditional and straight forward. I really need to get this kid on track and have some accountability and testing. And I'm not a math person AT ALL!
  10. You aren't alone. I have tried it twice (once for a review) and couldn't ever work with it. I wanted to, but it just wouldn't jive for us.
  11. http://halfdozenmama.com/our-homeschool-room-2/ Here's a link to my school room from last year with pics of our calendar. Also, if you scroll to the very bottom, you'll see a little chalkboard desk for my preschoolers with a frame above it. It's just hung on the wall empty and I used sticky tac to hang the little laminated art prints, but this would also work well for posting other memory work and making it look kinda cute. There's always empty frames at the thrift stores and you can paint them too. I'm loving these ideas for hanging memory work around:D were doing CC at home and I'm gonna do some of these things when I finally get around to working in the schoolroom;)
  12. Chore Pad HD. It's really well done. Worth every cent! :D
  13. We have absolutely LOVED it! Sticks like nothing else :iagree:
  14. OK...you all inspired me and I signed up for the trial too. I friended some of you and am the same name as here over there. I am SO excited at the possibilities of this, as I STINK at dinner. This reminds me of pinterest for meals;) Thanks for starting this thread!
  15. I wish I'd learned more about Montessori stuff. And worked more on obedience.
  16. :bigear: I just picked this up and would love to hear ideas too.
  17. Thanks for sharing this find.....I just reserved it at my library (which thankfully doesn't charge late fees):D
  18. I really like StartWrite! I have kids at all different levels and find the options useful for both handwriting practice and copywork for older kids. And the lined pages are nice. Hth!;)
  19. Just heard about these apps which are FREE today only (Wed. June 1). They are geared toward younger kids, but they are SO cute! http://tocaboca.com/ Enjoy!
  20. Stack the Countries, by the creator of Stack the States and Rocket Math. All are amazing! :001_smile:
  21. I haven't read the whole thread, but I love my Baggallini! There are so many compartments that its easy to store things and find them. There are tons of cute styles, but mine is one of the smaller ones. :001_smile:
