  1. Including the Abraham back-story made sense to me. He wasn't able to protect them. After he found them dead he met up with Eugene. Someone who said he had a secret that could change everything back. Abraham's new "job" was to protect Eugene and get him to D.C. He was lied to and failed….again. Not surprised about Eugene not telling the truth. I've thought that since last season. So IMO the episode was horribly boring. I don't think it's Beth in the sheet either. Those two would have been quite a bit more heartbroken than just a "Hey thanks for doing that..".
  2. Ditto Northern Brewer. My husband has been a home brewer for several years and that's where he buys most of his stuff. Sometimes he buys from our local home brewing store. It can be pricey but I don't think it's horrible once you have all the supplies. My husband brews a few times a year and does 2-3 different beers at a time. Cheaper than buying that much craft beer at the liquor store!! The only time-consuming part I've noticed is brew day and bottling day (when he used to bottle…he has three kegs that were given to him so now he just puts his brews in those and his beer is on-tap).
  3. Yes. I got mine under control with the help of a herbalist (after seeing an endo who wanted to do a thyroidectomy even though the biopsy came back benign). Now I use essential oils and a supplement (Young Living Thyromin) for maintenance.
  4. You all have pretty much said all I was going to say. :)
  5. My maternal grandmother was completely gray in her 20s. I'm 38 and when my roots show, I'm about 90% gray. I am absolutely not comfortable being a brunette/gray in my 30s!! When I'm in my mid-50 or 60s…absolutely!!! And my hairdresser can help me make the transition so it doesn't look ridiculous. ;)
  6. Oh my goodness! Lightbulb moment! I read that and realized that's me!! I know I'm an introvert and all but for some reason I've never made that connection as to why I keep myself busy in the kitchen when we host family dinners or birthday parties! Yes. Yes. Ditto the one-on-one conversation over group chatter. Or come over to say hello and strike up a short conversation. If the person engages, great! If the person seems not interested in talking, smile and go on. :)
  7. I'm 38 and have been about 90% gray for 4-5 years. Absolutely not one bit ashamed that I color my roots (and that's exactly what I'm doing right now). When I'm of the age to have a head full of gray hair, I'll stop coloring it. But this poll/post isn't about ladies. It's about the guys. ;)
  8. Of course it should be his decision. This is just a silly, Friday night poll to prove to my husband that women dig men with S&P hair and that it doesn't make him look old.
  9. Sometimes. And I can muster it up if I prep myself well enough. I really do loathe small talk though. So it takes so. much. effort. not have that, "I hate being here listening to you ramble on about stuff I #1 don't agree with or #2 am tired of hearing about." look on my face. lol Then it takes me hours to recover.
  10. Dh and I didn't have time to watch it until last night. I don't care about Bob one way or another. It was pretty obvious after the food pantry scene that he was bit so even though the incident with the hunters was disgusting, I was ready for Bob to die. My favorite scene was Tyrese peeking out of the room he was hiding in. Looked around and slowly backed up into the room. Big guy comes out to see the bloody mess and I imagine him thinking, "Uh yeah..I'm just gonna go back in here…" LOL I'm thinking Daryl has Morgan or Beth. If he has Beth then, like Emily said, we'll "hear" her story in flashbacks.
  11. The lady in the picture was in the food pantry. The walker who came towards him as he cowered against the wall.
  12. Did I miss another thread where this is being discussed? If not, here we go!! :) Um, EW!! I know we all knew they were cannibals but….EW! Is it possible that the hunters/Termites use(d) the Rev to help lure in fresh meat? I know they had all the signs but could they have also used him?
  13. Baby hat. Always have a baby hat on my needles. I make them for my client's babies to wear after birth (when mama is ready for baby to have a hat or if we need to keep baby warm) instead of those worthless thin hospital-type hats. Need another "big" project. Not sure what yet.
  14. My 14yo dd recently made the switch. :) I've always tried to do only 1-2 nights a week with meat so it hasn't been a huge adjustment for her or us. If we do have meat in a meal I just make sure there is an alternative or a couple sides she can have. A couple examples: - Tonight we are having Cincinatti Chili. She can make spaghetti. - When I make Chicken Pot Pie, I mix it all up and make her a small portion without chicken. Then I add in the chicken and make a big pan for the rest of us. We also have some quinoa patties in the fridge that she can grab (she's not real fond of them though..lol).
  15. I do it myself. It's super easy. I use Ion creme and I get it at Sally's. The very first time I did it I did my whole head (my hair is between chin and shoulder length). Now all I have to do is touch up the roots when needed.
  16. Any chance she was nervous about that appointment? Did they take a repeat bp before or after they stripped membranes? Just curious. ;)
  17. A lot would depend on what "slightly elevated" means. One reading of a higher than normal bp isn't indication for diagnoses of PreEcclampsia. A bp of 140/90 is when you start considering hypertension. If her bp was significantly higher than that and isn't coming down, induction could be a wise option. If she is induced she can absolutely still have a pain med-free birth.
  18. I like the potential of them together. His softer side (ie. him running towards her) and a safe relationship for her. And will someone please tell these people about baby wearing! lol
  19. Yes, Beth was part of the season previews. It appears that she's in some kind of a hospital/institution. I thought there was a smidge of a romantic moment between Daryl and Carol once…? I can't remember which season or episode but I remember they had a conversation and exchanged glances.
  20. My thoughts…. - If they really wanted to bleed people out, why aren't they doing it with them hanging upside down? - It was nice to get some back story on the Termites. I still wonder, if they were originally peaceful, were attacked and traumatized by it, why are they being SO brutal to other people?? To prevent ever being attacked and traumatized again? Is it explained in the book? - If I'm in the woods with a baby who may make noise to catch the attention of a walker herd that was just distracted away from me, I would go further than just over a little hill and behind a tree. LOL!! - Daryl running towards Carol…oh my heart. - Abraham said something to his group that hopefully will come to light soon. When they were having their big happy family reunion, the other group was just standing around and Abraham said, "….we'll tell them later…"
  21. Obviously I missed this back when you first posted it. So an honest question since I've never had a client with twins (suspected it once in a mama with fundal height measuring quite a bit ahead at 17w), let alone triplets. How was your midwife able to catch three separate FHT?? :) I know how the FHT can resonate across the uterus and it's possible to think you're hearing two. So I can't imagine how you would know that you are hearing three!
  22. Our only rules are: 1. Skrafty is the only server they can play on. It's run by a homeschool family and is monitored very well. It is pretty heavy on the Christian content if that's something you want to avoid. 2. No electronic gaming on Sunday. Other than that, they self-regulate pretty well. Every so often I have to give a gentle reminder that they need to go do something else with their brain and time. ;)
