We did all of the things we didn't do in 2020 and 2021 this summer! We visited Chicago (twice), went to a St. Louis Cardinals game, attended a street party for the Platinum Jubilee, picked lavender, traveled to Washington D.C. and did almost everything and pretty much nothing in the three days we were there, spent a night at Myrtle Beach and did the Cha Cha Slide on the boardwalk (we also did that in the street outside the White House, but that's a story for a different time!), and went to DISNEY WORLD. We visited all four parks over four days, and also took a day trip to Kennedy Space Center. Oh, we also all got Covid after being so careful for almost 2 1/2 years, but I guess with all of our travels, that was to be expected. We did all but one thing on my summer "to-do" list, so it was pretty much the best summer ever!

Sweet Baby Ray's has a good mustard sauce, but it's made with yellow mustard, not dijon like the kind you had, so I'm not sure how different it would be.

I don't think I remember seeing any there outside of an event...that is weird, though, now that you mention it.

The zoo and science center are in Forest Park, so that's easy. There's a good burger place, Seamus McDaniel's, nearby. Technically you could walk there, too, but I wouldn't want to in the heat.

I thought I didn't like DS9. I actually resisted watching it for a long time, because I thought I hated it. Once I really sat down with it, though, it became my favorite series of the whole franchise, so I think getting through those first few episodes definitely helps.

My sons and I watch M*A*S*H on Hulu pretty much every night.

I like my built-in sprayer, but I wouldn't want a built-in soap dispenser. I don't have a reason for this, I just feel like it would annoy me.

I hate driving. Actually, I don't really enjoy being a passenger, either. But I REALLY hate driving, so I'm glad dh actually likes it and does it most of the time.

The environmental impact, as far as I understand it, is that it uses tons of electricity, and burns through computer parts which are then just trashed.

That's so scary! I've had several bee stings throughout my life with no problems, but I'm not sure I've ever been stung by a wasp before. It's not an experience I care to repeat!

Other than some pain, not really. Icing it helped.

Does getting stung by a wasp ON MY SCALP count? I was out for my daily walk, and I felt something bonk my head. I assumed it was a helicopter seed pod, so I ran my hands over my hair to shake it free. It wasn't a helicopter, and I swear I heard the wasp laughing as it flew away.

I hope I'm attaching the photo correctly...we loved the Platinum Pudding! I substituted (store-bought) gingersnaps for the amaretti biscuits because I needed to make it without nuts, but everything else was homemade according to the recipe. I was scared of making the St. Clement's jelly, but it actually turned out great. I don't think I made the chunky mandarin coulis quite right, but it tasted good, anyway. This was a really fun thing to do to celebrate the Jubilee!

I'm going to make it...I knew as soon as I saw the recipe I'd have to give it a try. I'm just relieved we're on summer vacation now, because I think it's going to be quite an undertaking!

I was sure we were going to miss it, because we had clouds all day yesterday, but they cleared long enough for us to get a good look at the full eclipse.
