  1. If you aren't tied to a tractphone you should look at Republic Wireless. They are also a budget phone service and I have been really happy with them. They use unlocked phones, like Moto phones which you can usually get at a reasonable price. I think the service and phones are a great deal.
  2. So, is it worth it to get one with temperature settings?
  3. I am looking to buy an electric kettle......I am baffled by wide range in prices. For those that use electric kettles, what is the difference between cheap and expensive?
  4. I am there with you! I feel like I could get rid of half of the stuff in my house. I'm not even certain how it got this way. I will definitely try to be purging before Christmas!
  5. I have a size 0 seventeen year old. We have good luck at Kohl's.
  6. We are fostering kittens this year and found out yesterday they have ringworm. We have the works on medication. They were lime-sulpher dipped, have oral medication, topical wipes, and we have shampoo. We've never had ringworm. I just need to know how bad it is. Is it terrible?
  7. I haven't read the replies, but I had a friend who swore direct sunlight was the most amazing way she had gotten stains out. She dried them outside the old fashioned way on a clothesline. Don't know if it will help, but you could always try.
  8. Well, I don't have any stellar ideas for you. But, we have used a product line this for different problem behaviors with great success. Basically, it's just really wide easy to place sticky double sided tape. My cats hate it with a passion and it helps with problem behaviors. https://www.chewy.com/smartcat-sticky-paws-on-roll/dp/49154?utm_source=google-product&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=hg&utm_content=SmartCat&utm_term=&gclid=CjwKCAjw_b3cBRByEiwAdG8Wqv89fd5KOjD0rSdSs7qsD0lVu4--3O6KSPlGilA4jTbWrjgCyIM5MxoCLREQAvD_BwE There are several different places to buy it, so look around. Honestly, I'm not sure it would work on your situation. But, it's not too expensive to try. Good luck!
  9. Personally, I would not do this. A GED is not looked on as the same as a diploma. Can he dual enrollment at the CC? In our state dual enrollment for high school students is free for the first class, and discounted for the second class. Can he take rigorous classes? There are plenty of AP level classes that would keep him challenged. Also, he can take college level classes in high school. I have smart kids that could go to college early. Personally, we are keeping them in high school with very rigorous course load. They are still teens and I don't think running off to college early is going to do them well. But, every family makes their own decisions regarding this.
  10. You absolutely need a second opinion! I would consider this highly important before spending so much money.
  11. Sleep well tonight. Really, it doesn't sound like anything terrible is going to happen if you wait and see. Hugs. I don't have a non-verbal kid, but I have been in your situation where I felt unsure of what to do. So, try really hard to not worry tonight, it's okay to wait. If you are still worried tomorrow and see no improvement, then go ahead and check it out.
  12. I think most seniors I know appreciate easy to make lunch and dinners. Canned Soups Canned Tuna or chicken salad packs Shelf - stable ready made dinners that you just pop in the microwave peanut butter nuts Canned veggies and beans Salad packs - Although probably not feasible (my MIL favorite thing to eat is already prepared salads that she buys in the deli section....but these usually require refrigeration) Cereal Oatmeal (even though they are exactly the same thing as buying the big jar of oats, my MIL loves the regular oatmeal packets because she doesn't like to measure)
  13. To me, this picture and clothes represent this kid's personality. That's what I like in a senior picture.
  14. Honestly, I wouldn't worry as much about make-up or clothes too much. I love the senior pictures that we have done. The photographer we hired tried to really capture my kids' essence. She talked with them for about an hour about things they loved, their hobbies, and their interests. For us, it wasn't about model for the day, or the perfect pose. We have pictures of my daughter in the woods playing her violin, in a grassy field on a blanket surrounded by her favorite books, and with her cat. DS's pictures were similar focusing on things that showcased him. Personally, I love them. They are great pictures of my kids with things they love and if kids are comfortable then the pictures will be good.
  15. Quixx is really fun, short, and teaches about statistics (informally, that is)
  16. I'm not an anxious person and I would reschedule.
  17. I would look at https://www.healthyfeetstore.com/ You can use the search feature to look for exactly the kind of shoe you are looking for. They have categories for plantar fasciitis, diabetes, arch support....etc. Try narrowing the search to find exactly what you are looking for. My son has serious foot and ankle problems, and we have started using this website for all of his shoe needs and have been happy.
  18. I feel like the only way through this is what Sassenach recommended. Honestly, it doesn't look promising to me unless you address this issue head on and forthrightly. Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using Tapatalk
  19. We have also had a cat that played fetch. He loved it his while life. I miss that cat. Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using Tapatalk
  20. Swindle and following books Frindle
  21. Fruit tarts? How to make a great pie crust? If it is a pastry class I would expect more than the basics of measuring. It sounds like fun! I want to participate!
  22. That looks delicious! Now I need roast chicken
  23. She sounds fine! I remember my four year old was very much like this on some test he took way back then. It was something that had to do with shapes. He just "barely" passed. He ended up a National Merit Finalist. My point is that you should continue to not worry about DD. You cannot predict what will happen based on a developmental test your four year old took! Continue on as you would normally.
