  1. Here is mine. http://pinterest.com/norahb/ I have a few different homeschool boards. I can't wait to start following all of you.
  2. Here is a review of my experience with it. http://momofthreewildandcrazyboys.blogspot.com/2012/06/curriculum-review-elemental-history.html
  3. They were having troubles with paypal so if you order using paypal check the next day to be sure your order pops up for them. I waited almost 2 weeks earlier this month before I realized they had never shipped the items.
  4. I would avoid the playdate. We've had several versions of this as I guess there are many different viruses that cause this. Getting one doesn't make immune to the rest. We've had kids hospitalized for this because they won't eat or drink and get themselves so dehydrated.
  5. This was a HUGE hit in our house. Amazon has them for about $7 a book. In fact they loved these books so much I have not been able to find another book that they love. We've been through quite a few.
  6. Read that article. Threw the magazine out and emailed a letter expressing my total dislike to that racist (to me anyways) article and asked that they not send me anymore issues.
  7. We have read and really enjoyed this series of Shakespeare. My kids love them. Macbeth and they have many others too.
  8. I read it for that reason and let me tell you it was a horrible book. There really isn't much details on the others just a few little things. And most of them changed drastically from the way they acted in SVH.
  9. I had this happen to me once too. Paypal actually called my house around 2:30 in the morning to report it to me. They locked my account before I even knew what had happened. I had my money back by the time I checked once I fully woke up around 6 am. I then had to transfer money back to my checking account. Usually there is a delay (2-4 days) but paypal did something so my money was deposited in my checking account by noon.
  10. I missed your original thread but I have a tiny 8 year old boy. He's not on the charts for height and is clinging to a 5% for weight, which actually he's on the growth chart for the first time since one year of age. I just think some kids are tiny. His twin brothers outweigh him and are taller than him at about 20 months younger than him. I just think he got the short genes from me and my youthful (I'm not so tiny anymore) tiny weight frame.
  11. Wow! I haven't even started to think about 1st grade yet. It's funny cause the past several years I've had my decisions made in February but not this year. I haven't planned anything for 1st grade for the twins or 3rd grade for my oldest.
  12. During our local stores case lot sales a 5 lb bag is usually $2.99.
  13. Just that the government and the military admit he was exposed to agent orange. As of right now he has no health problems other then some issues with his sperm, tmi I'm sure. However our kids have exhibited conditions that do not run on either side of our family. Because he is on the watch list they (government and military) are looking into problems with the kids.
  14. This is very interesting as my husband is on an Agent Orange watch list.
  15. Chocolate Babka Cereal Candy oodles of different cookies sometimes some candy
  16. All my LDS friends who make their own bread, probably 4-6 loaves at a time, have the bosch mixer. They say its much more powerful than the kitchenaids and last forever. I know my mom has one from probably 25 years ago that' still going strong. They aren't cheap but you might want to check it out if you haven't. http://www.spoilthecook.com/bosch/Bosch-Universal-Plus-Mixer-359-99.html
  17. There is an OB/GYN in my area whose name is Dr. Fillerup. I know someone who named their child Levi Denim Vest. Here's a fun website with names given to children here in Utah. http://wesclark.com/ubn/
  18. Honey Lime Chicken Enchiladas 6 T honey 4 ½ T lime juice 1 T chili powder ½ tsp garlic powder 1 lb cooked shredded chicken 10 flour tortillas 2 cups shredded Monterey jack cheese 2 10 oz cans green chili sauce Mix sauce ingredients together with cooked chicken and let marinate for at least 30 min. Pour ½ can of green sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Roll chicken up in tortillas with a little cheese and put in pan. When they are all rolled pour the chili sauce over top and sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top. Bake at 350 for 30 min.
  19. Too funny. My pickup site was in Clinton. Maybe we did run into each other.
  20. Hey I use Bountiful Baskets too. Not sure what I'm doing with mine yet. I have a neighbor from the south who is dying to get her hands on my collard greens so I may just let her have them.
  21. Yes I did print off the extra practice sheets. I didn't see any games that worked on the rounding up/down concept. It's like he just guesses, he looks at say number 57 and says 68. Or 89 is the number and he says 100. Seriously its totally random his guesses. I think I'll have my husband give him some numbers with me somewhere out of the room. One thing I've learned is sometimes he just goofs off for me at times and if someone else does the work with him he'll show he can get it.
