Here is a review of my experience with it. http://momofthreewildandcrazyboys.blogspot.com/2012/06/curriculum-review-elemental-history.html -
Finally, Rainbow Resource has free shipping over $50
momtothreeboys replied to crazyforlatin's topic in K-8 Curriculum Board
They were having troubles with paypal so if you order using paypal check the next day to be sure your order pops up for them. I waited almost 2 weeks earlier this month before I realized they had never shipped the items. -
hand, foot and mouth disease
momtothreeboys replied to HappyLady's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I would avoid the playdate. We've had several versions of this as I guess there are many different viruses that cause this. Getting one doesn't make immune to the rest. We've had kids hospitalized for this because they won't eat or drink and get themselves so dehydrated. -
"Must read" book series? What are your favorites?
momtothreeboys replied to tammyw's topic in K-8 Curriculum Board
This was a HUGE hit in our house. Amazon has them for about $7 a book. In fact they loved these books so much I have not been able to find another book that they love. We've been through quite a few. -
Shakespeare for younger readers?
momtothreeboys replied to bry's-gal's topic in K-8 Curriculum Board
We have read and really enjoyed this series of Shakespeare. My kids love them. Macbeth and they have many others too. -
I read it for that reason and let me tell you it was a horrible book. There really isn't much details on the others just a few little things. And most of them changed drastically from the way they acted in SVH.

So angry! Someone hacked my PayPal acct!
momtothreeboys replied to Allearia's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I had this happen to me once too. Paypal actually called my house around 2:30 in the morning to report it to me. They locked my account before I even knew what had happened. I had my money back by the time I checked once I fully woke up around 6 am. I then had to transfer money back to my checking account. Usually there is a delay (2-4 days) but paypal did something so my money was deposited in my checking account by noon. -
I missed your original thread but I have a tiny 8 year old boy. He's not on the charts for height and is clinging to a 5% for weight, which actually he's on the growth chart for the first time since one year of age. I just think some kids are tiny. His twin brothers outweigh him and are taller than him at about 20 months younger than him. I just think he got the short genes from me and my youthful (I'm not so tiny anymore) tiny weight frame.

1st grade curriculum for next year? Post yours.
momtothreeboys replied to Halcyon's topic in K-8 Curriculum Board
Wow! I haven't even started to think about 1st grade yet. It's funny cause the past several years I've had my decisions made in February but not this year. I haven't planned anything for 1st grade for the twins or 3rd grade for my oldest. -
I'm just outside the west gate of HAFB.

Agent Orange and a Disturbing Statistic
momtothreeboys replied to Janna's topic in General Education Discussion Board
Just that the government and the military admit he was exposed to agent orange. As of right now he has no health problems other then some issues with his sperm, tmi I'm sure. However our kids have exhibited conditions that do not run on either side of our family. Because he is on the watch list they (government and military) are looking into problems with the kids.
