My ds (8th grade) has the worst handwriting. I have him rewrite things all the time, tell him to slow down, even tell him to print. But it remains the same. Is there something else I can do?
My three dc just started a speech and debate club with about 14 other hsers. My oldest is taking it for credit. I think they will get a lot out of it. Was wondering if others here are in such a group and how it has worked out for them.
This is exactly what we plan to do with ours. I don't know if they will be done by the time they are 18 but should be very close to getting their assoc. soon after. My plan is to start them out gradually like you. My oldest is 14. Our cc has new students take a placement test for math and english. And can take classes when they are 16, sooner if they get a department okay. So we will see how things go. But I would say go for it.
Sandra,
Please give the website for your webinar. It sounds like something I should listen to. Also will you have a recording of it? We will be gone all day Fri.
I did a quick search because I thought this would be good for my kids also. I haven't really looked at them thoroughly yet but here are a few free ones online.

There were some others but you have to give more personal info.
I'm slightly freaking out about it. My biggest concern is keeping records/transcripts since we have never kept grades before. I sure I will figure it out.
Just wanted to say hi. I'll be reading all the posts from you high school pros.
I would use search words like Nike manufacturing or nike factories, where are nikes made. Could possibly put another spin on it, if you find out that nike is giving jobs to people who wouldn't other wise find work.
