Iï¸ have this situation and what dramatically improved Iï¸t was babysitting the kids Iï¸ hated. Turned out, they were fine as long as their mom wasn’t there, and after a few times they learned the way our house worked, and Iï¸ felt comfortable giving them instructions even when she was there.

Well Trained Bodies (Diet & exercise) - Nov. 2017
brett_ashley replied to Laurie4b's topic in The Chat Board
can i jump in? i'm finally back to exercising after a hysterectomy and breast reduction and am feeling very motivated. i have been severely anemic for 3 years so just having the energy to walk is a huge change. i just read the exercise cure and it's so great!! has anyone read it? i am just beginning phase 2. it's not for weight loss, but for health and vitality. my goals this week are to avoid sugar completely, make all of my step goals (roughly 5 miles per day walking), and do at least 3 days worth of phase 2 calisthenics. i just signed up for a dietbet today and would anyone to join me there! i bet $50 I would lose 4% of my body weight in 4 weeks. i haven't won a ton of money (usually 7-9%) but just the idea of losing $50 is enough to keep me on track. -
Found on my pillow with a little bloodstain. First thought was lice (having five kids), but I combed through carefully with my metal comb and found nothing. Doesn't look like the bed bug pics I looked up? Or maybe wishful thinking? It's tiny (3mm?) and reddish brown.

Italian Potluck Dish 1 lb hamburger meat ½ chopped onion 32 oz jar Spaghetti Sauce 8oz (1/2 large package) wide egg noodles, cooked 8oz cream cheese, softened 8oz shredded mozzarella Cheese 1 pkg Grands crescent rolls 1/3 cup butter, melted parmigiano Italian seasoning Brown hamburger meat with onion. Add spaghetti sauce and salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the cooked egg noodles and set aside. In a bowl mix together cream cheese and mozzarella cheese. In a buttered casserole pan spread the meat/noodle mixture. In small dollops, top with the cheese mixture and spread out over the bottom layer as well as you can. Unroll the Grands crescent dough and place over the top, stretching to the edges of the pan and pinching seams together if necessary. Brush melted butter over the top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown. -
communication with a hair stylist
brett_ashley replied to Sunshine State Sue's topic in The Chat Board
I have a great stylist, and I literally say every time I go, "just do whatever you think looks great!" I'm always satisfied. She is really talented and I have had some very cute and flattering cuts I never would have picked in a million years. -

You Bosch owners--i found an old mixer on Craigslist for $100 but it looks like there aren't any good whips/paddles for cookies or cakes. Any feedback?

Kindle Fires (for kids) in an Apple household?
brett_ashley replied to alisoncooks's topic in The Chat Board
We bought the $30 kindles and hate them. My kids who need no help at all on iPads need constant help on kindle fires and it's hard for me to figure it out too. The free time app is a great idea in concept but my kids (voracious readers) never read on them--vastly preferring books to ebooks. That being said two of them were lost in the first three months and i was mighty glad they were $30 fires and not $299 iPad minis. Plus an unexpected benefit was that screentime on a fire did not have the same appeal so they usually opted for outside play or reading in their leisure. -
Typically when I have problems it's on the back. I line up the left and right, but in the back where I can't see it it sometimes slips in above the notch instead of inside it. Probably 5 times out of 100.

I worded that poorly. I don't have experience with any other bowl lift models than KA. Was just surprised at the difficulties on a much more expensive appliance.

Can't imagine whipping cream in a plastic bowl where it's not going to get really cold in the freezer, or getting it clean after making red velvet cake or really just can't imagine it getting as clean as metal in any fashion. I don't use a lot of plastic in food prep anyway admittedly. But if you tell me it's clean as a whistle I'll try it! So over kitchen aid!
-
The design is really poor on the kitchen aid 6 qt professional bowl lift model. First, you have to have the bowl secured in three different points--if one is only slightly askew the whole thing will come hurtling off mid-cycle (ask me how I know). Also, there is no way to get the batter off the beater. You have to dip it back into the batter in order to remove it, and you can't remove it while the bowl is on. Lots of wasted batter imo to not have a way to drip or scrape off like in head tilt models.
