  1. My youngest daughter will be entering night grade this coming fall. She is into nature like your daughter (bird feeding/watching, squirrel watching/feeding, gazing at the starts with her telescope, collecting rocks, and anything that has to do with nature). I will be using study.com with her due to the endless possibilities they offer. I currently use it with both of my children. My oldest is in 9th grade now and enjoys her courses. Some of the courses that will be a good fit for my youngest daughter are Kingdom Animalia, Natural Sciences, Environment Science, Microbiology, and Ecology and Environment. This platform also provides creativity and experiments, my youngest daughter is all about getting her hands dirty 😂.She will be learning via her senses, this is the best method for my youngest daughter because it keeps her engage and motivated to learn. If you have any additional questions you can reach me via message.
  2. This is great information! My daughter and I will be looking into CC soon.
  3. I agree with the other comments with going to college to decrease the amount of debt, work with people, and complete a dual enrollment. I will also suggest to develop a career day to meet and talk with different individuals in the mental health field. This will help her to determine if this is the field she wants to go in. I am a licensed counselor and I love and enjoy my job, however it is hard work but very enjoyable. She can also read many books on mental health, watch different documentaries on mental health and the brain, see if she can attend seminars on mental health, and or take some classes or courses on mental health. My daughter is interested in archaeology, I use a program called study.com to assist her in learning more about the things that she is interested in. This program may assist your daughter as well. I also use this program for her educational development as well, It provides an opportunity for her to receive college credit. I hope things will work out for you.
  4. I use study.com for my girls to strengthen their math skills. Since they have made great improvements, they are now able to move up a grade level in math. With this program my children were able to develop an appropriate foundation that is greatly needed to excel in all of their math courses. It also provides all their other core subjects for grade k-12, offer college credits, and offer college courses.
  5. I taught my children to read the KJV version and they were able to grasp it easily. I also use the Strongs KJV Bible Concordance with my children as well.
  6. My husband and I decided to home school our girls when we were not happy with what they were learning in their christian school. We started out using text books from the library, free homeschool curriculums, and other learning programs. We placed the girls in different church activities, they attended the library homeschool group, they were involved with the YMCA, and when shopping they're involved in making their list of needs/wants and communicate with the cashier to make their purchases. As they got older we needed to change their educational materials to meet their needs. We decided to go with study.com because it is self pace; it provides experiments and hands on activities; provides the girls with an abundance of what they need for their grade level; and we are able to incorporate Bible studies, nature, and proper character development. I hope things work out for you and your family.
