  1. Going through education, what are we aiming for? Elementary and secondary school, the basic education is more or less the same across different countries (I have knowledge to compare North America, Western and Eastern Europe). Must have basis for technical and humanitarian disciplines with a bit different load sometimes but the same output, as kids and teenagers are going through school and growing up. The next step is either dedication or ‘go and try’ high school, aiming for the best choice. However, a specialist's professional path often varies from what a high school assumes. Being a polytechnic professional I would like to share my experience of keeping eye on opportunities and grasping flexibility of today’s post-graduate offers. Which came with integration of knowledge and dedicated career view came together with I would recommend following and applying those suggestions for skills upgrade and further career vector strengthening.
  2. From my experience, it depends very much on the age of children. My friends' kind were in a three language environment from birth and could speak all three, when talking to a person from the family who is native speaker of a certain language. But most kids have to learn two languages at a school age. In this case the most common problems are that they are mixing both (especially while writing) or cannot remember certain words fast in a sentence (while speaking). The best way I know is to have an ‘English’ or ‘German’ days at home, when all of the members use only one language, which is not native. And concentrate on reading in a non-native language.
  3. Tove Jansson. I've started it with my daughter when she was 3,5. And we both had interest and absorbed the magic of it.
  4. Dear community, I am glad to be here. To be short, my life is all around technical foundations, developments as a canvas to personal growth being socially positive. Looking forward to be a learner and contributor here. skydelph
