  1. Rainbow Magic Fairies Sophie Mouse Anna Hibiscus (pre-read the last two books as they handle death differently than we were comfortable with but 1-6 are great) Owl diaries and Unicorn diaries (very much twaddle-y but fun) Fairy Animals Nevergirls Unicorn Academy If you're Christian, Imagination Station and Secrets of the Hidden Scrolls
  2. Maybe too young for her but if you're Christian, Cooper Kids Adventures by Frank Peretti
  3. @prairiewindmommathank you for all your advice! I noticed something around his lip line that looked different than his other eczema before it all got so bad, I'll have to watch out for that.
  4. I wondered if this would be a common thing. Hopefully we can figure out his allergies and get the eczema under control...
  5. Thanks everyone! We were able to get in with his pediatricians office, different doc, and found out it's impetigo. Got a prescriptionG. lad I brought him in, hopefully derm and allergist will have some better long term solutions.
  6. No I didn't know babies could have benadryl. Interesting.... The urgent care doc last week suggested hydrocortisone but only for 3 days so it doesn't thin the skin too much
  7. I might be able to do a virtual appt tomorrow, they don't do same day in person.
  8. My DS (11 months) has always had a rash around his mouth. A month ago, He tested as allergic to 6 out of the 9 top foods but cutting them has not improved the rash. He got a cold last week, went to UC and they prescribed amoxicillin for ear infection but he got a rash from that so doc said to stop and didn't switch to anything. This is his face today, rash has moved up around his eyes and he's puffy. We have appointments in two weeks with regular pediatrician, allergist and derm but I'm wondering if I should bring him in to urgent care for this. His skin is just so sensitive to everything but I don't know that urgent care could do anything we aren't doing. Any ideas if you have a kiddo with skin-affected allergies is welcome!
  9. This year we did Beautiful Feet Books Seasons Afield for nature/science and liked it. I plan to use BFB for history this coming year.
  10. Maybe an ergo or Lille baby carrier or Solly baby wrap? Those would be more expensive than little gifts but cheaper than strollers, etc. Or a bouncer seat (I like the infant to toddler rocker)
  11. Jamberry by Bruce Degen Dinnertime! By Sue Williams If they are Christians, Tales That Tell The Truth series makes board books
  12. I added in a board game of DD6's choice after math so she's more motivated to get it done and that's been helping. Her favorite games right now are Silver and Gold, Skipbo and Chess. She really likes things perfect so we are reading through What To Do When Mistakes Make You Quake. It's given me some language to use with her that's helpful. Blending is starting to click with DD4 so I printed off some progressive phonics and she's loving it. I also got Dash Into Reading books at my library which are basically pretty BOB books. I might try Blah Blah Blah (like Uno but with CVC words) this week.
  13. You could continue with Math Mammoth and try to spread out the arithmetic chapters by having him do one arithmetic page and one page from a different chapter like geometry so he doesn't forget so much. Maybe Horizons if you want more colorful and spiral?
  14. We are doing BFB Seasons Afield this year and enjoying it. Now I'm looking at their Early American History, US Geo, or Around the World. Do you have a favorite? My other kids are younger, is there one that's a better fit for them to enjoy the books with us?
