  1. I plan on doing a quiche tonight to use up our Easter ham. I hope it turns out ok.
  2. Post pics, recipes, questions, anything you wish! We'll do the above categories for 2 weeks, then start something new! Remember no pressure, just fun and camaraderie!
  3. Good morning y'all! I hope y'all had a great weekend. It was rainy and nasty here but today is beautiful. dh is off today and tomorrow so who knows what I'll actually get done, lol. ✅Coffee ✅meds ✅bible- acts ✅read- soul city ✅kroger grocery pick up ✅figure out supper ✅pack ds up and say goodbye. Say a prayer for all of us, please. This is going to be a very difficult time. He's moving in with my parents temporarily to be closer to his new job. Pray for god's will, whatever that is. Please. I'm a nervous wreck. ✅call blue cross to check on new drs for him under our plan Call fence place about putting in larger gate— tomorrow cat flea meds— tomorrow
  4. Yes! I was reading through a list yesterday and artichokes were on it!
  5. Tomorrow the poll ends! I think we can guess what will win! My plan was to make something with rhubarb but I can’t find any here. So quiche it will be!
  6. How does this sound? Sourdough with Gruyère, red peppers, pesto, and bacon (for my dh anyway)? Does that sound like it will go together or not?
  7. We need a 'Wow' button! That croissant! 😋😋😋
  8. Oooh, I like the quesadilla as a version of a grilled cheese! I'm doing a second grilled cheese, too, lol. This thread is almost too inspiring!
  9. That looks awesome! And 10/10 for presentation!
  10. We still have doctor's offices requiring it around here. I still mask depending on how crowded it is, how closed in a building feels. Also, if there's 'something' going around, I mask. Thankfully no one seems to care.
  11. I haven’t read the replies yet. Allergies making my eyes messed up. Ds has switched jobs a lot, too. Some valid reasons, some not as much (to me, anyway). He starts a new job Tuesday in another city and am praying it works out. He will be staying with my parents for a while until he decides if he wants to keep with it or not. Some of ds’s issues are his bipolar and he cannot do physical labor because of his diabetes. It goes completely bananas when he does hard manual labor and can’t take breaks as needed. Totally understandable, of course. Anyway, all that said, I feel your pain. I changed jobs a lot, too so it’s hard for me to point fingers at him, but sometimes I just wish he was a little more patient.
  12. I have an aioli in my fridge now. I may have to do 2 grilled cheese nights because that could be really yummy!
  13. any of those colors are perfect. I might even throw in a dusky muted purple as an option. I love all the options, but wonder if the wrap would be easiest to get baby in and out of instead of button up? I assume there’s just one button on the side of the wrap? My kid was big at birth, but quickly even out in the first six months so for his youngest years he stayed mostly the same in size and age. But because it would be a layered piece,,you’d probably want to go up a size anyway. I’m jealous, btw. I would love to be able to crochet those things!
  14. My dog woke me up and now I’m sitting here thinking…. What if we have two dishes for each segment? You can cook both or just pick one. What Jean said made a lot of sense about some people not being able to do grilled cheese (or some other dish) because of allergies, so why not go with two dishes for each segment? It’s up to you if you do both, one, or none, like I’ve said, there’s no pressure. Also, it can be as simple or elaborate a dish as you want (or are able) to prepare. No pressure, no winners or losers. Well, all of us kind of win just from the chitchat with each other, cheering each other on, learning new things, etc.
  15. What if we do both? That way nobody feels slighted and with grilled cheese being such a simple dish, it doesn’t really need its own 2 weeks. Would everyone be ok with that? A grilled cheese + a spring veggie dish (if that does end up winning) to kick off our Cook-Along? 🥪🍞🥦🥕🧄
  16. I’ll definitely put it on the next poll! I’m making one this week regardless, lol. 🥪🥪🥪 This thread morphed into grilled cheese goodness and I’m ready for one now. It looks like spring veggies is poised to win and I think I’ve already figured out what to make… something with rhubarb. 😱 I’ve never even ate it! @Corraleno, I do have two pans. I think I’ll probably try that method.
  17. I say we have a grilled cheese thread! It’s the one thing I can confidently cook and experiment with, lol. I’ll post a pic when I make mine this week. I looked at that menu, @Spy Car and saw Brie and that was it. 😋😋😋 since I won’t have a panini press by then, I wonder if using cast iron would be best?
  18. I’ve got bacon jam on the way! I’m going to try Brie & bacon jam on sourdough first. Lots of good ideas I want to try!!
  19. Huh, my dad's is worse than I thought. He may actually be a 4 or right at it, I think. Thank you for that link, @Pawz4me. Eta: He's 3b.
  20. Eta: incorrect info deleted. Thanks @Pawz4me! My dad's gp is trying to get him off some of his meds because he thinks they're speeding up the kidney disease.
