That looks you knew all along and solved it that way on purpose to make stair steps. congrats

Only happened once. I noticed the odd details when I started the game after that. Before I started that game, I wondered why it wasn’t the number of games played. After I finished that game, I wondered why it was still showing 1 and not 2 since I had played 10 games.
-
That would be a logical explanation, but I’ve only played on my phone. It is usually in afternoon while waiting on a kids activity.

It said 10 played 100 percent 1 streak 8 max streak The numbers just don’t seem to work as 8 plus 1 doesn’t equal 10. I may have as I played it super late one night and I could have started or ended after midnight. Would that account for the max streak and current streak not adding up to total games played?

I have a question about the win streak info. I started playing two weeks ago and have won each time. However, it now tells me my win streak is 1. I think until a couple of days ago my current streak and my win streak Were the same number. I did not lose, however, I did reach 10 games played during that time frame. Does win streak reset weekly? 100 Win % 1 Current Streak 8 Max Streak GUESS DISTRIBUTION 1 0 2 2 3 4 4 0 5 3 6 1 thanks for any insight for the change.

Buying new mattresses was my quarantine hobby. We bought linenspa mattresses and on sale they were under 100 for twin class. Regular price was under 150. In addition to their website, wayfair and Amazon sell them. -
Help-- I have 3 days to get DH a birthday present
NewnameC replied to Jann in TX's topic in The Chat Board
On Amazon there are custom cup cozzies that are made to fit a specific car’s cup holder and have the car’s logo printed on them. like this for Chevrolet. https://www.amazon.com/Plasticolor/b/ref=bl_dp_s_mw_2530167011?ie=UTF8&node=2530167011&field-lbr_brands_browse-bin=Plasticolor When looking to find what these are called, I also found there are things you can put in cup holders to make them fit the larger cups/ water bottles that are popular now. I think of both of these would be little, I didn’t forget about you on your birthday gifts. -
Can you help me with sweet treat ideas?

I’m not sure if cold ice cream feels good after dental work, but my quick search shows places deliver it nationwide. Local/chain ice cream shops are on door dash, Uber eats, etc. Here is an article that lists shippable ice cream. https://www.foodnetwork.com/fn-dish/shopping/ice-cream-delivery -
OP A 1530 is in the top 1 percent of scores, so I think you can submit it to any school without worrying it will count against him. Score (1600-1190) Nationally Representative Sample SAT User 1600 99+ 99+ 1590 99+ 99+ 1580 99+ 99+ 1570 99+ 99+ 1560 99+ 99+ 1550 99+ 99 1540 99+ 99 1530 99+ 99 I can imagine that Covid trend of test optional is making college application decisions even more stressful for your student. It looks like you live in California and I know they no longer use test scores. It must seem like everything in college admissions has changed just as your student, with high scores, is ready to apply. Good luck. (Based on my grads experiences, a computer science student does not need to go a “competitive school” to work in that field even with the big name companies.)

I remember that story from here or somewhere. I did a little searching and found this article, where you can read the essay that resulted in acceptance to Yale and free pizza. https://www.businessinsider.com/papa-johns-essay-helps-high-school-senior-get-into-yale-2017-5?amp

I’m so glad to read of your mom’s continued improvement. She is amazing.

Another option for you, there is a Spirit flight this afternoon from CLO to Miami and there are flights this evening on American from Miami to RDU. This would probably mean paying out of pocket and getting refund from American. (I didn’t check times closely, so I’m not sure if there is enough time to immigration/customs.) I do know when we were looking last month my primary goal was to get my daughter to the US, because that opened up a lot more options for getting her home. good luck.

I’m so sorry to hear this. One of my college kids had travel issues from another country to the US over the holidays that delayed her arrival by 36 hours or so. She was able to do another Covid test since her first test no longer met the day before travel requirements, however, there was no place to upload the new test results. No one asked for the new results anywhere along the way even though her original test was older than the day before required to enter US. It does not look like there are any American flights out of CLO today; or at least not to any of American’s hubs. I even checked flying CLO to other cities in Colombia today and didn’t see any, which could be completely normal. There are seats available on two non-stops to Miami tomorrow and there is at least one direct flight from Miami to Raleigh Durham. (That is the airport the internet told me was closest to UNC.) From our experience last month, I would suggest calling and using any online contact service at same time, because you will be asking for something unusual and need the right person to make it happen. (The original person my daughter talked to was going to book her on a flight 2-3 days later. However, they were fine with changing her to a different connecting city once I suggested it.) When you talk/text with agent, ask to change to the Miami Raleigh flights that work best for your daughter. Good luck.

I am sure you feel overwhelmed after your mom’s accident and sending kid back to college. Those both are overwhelming in the best of times, which this is not. Praying for all of you, and offering some reassurance on two issues you have mentioned. My 17-year-old has had no trouble testing without a parent present. One good thing about pandemic is it has made Checking into a hotel as a minor is easier than it has ever been. You simply prepay reservation, download the hotel chain’s app and use the digital key.

Agreeing with everyone else. No carpet.

Can you tell me a bit about Covid rapid tests?
NewnameC replied to chocolate-chip chooky's topic in The Chat Board
My sister‘s family all had Covid last month. All were vaccinated. Only one had symptoms—a headache. All tested positive with at-home rapid test. My niece also had a follow up test done at the doctor’s office and it was positive too. So, in my limited experience the tests worked for asymptomatic people. (I also know they weren’t false positives, because someone my sister spent a lot of time with the day before BIL tested positive also got it and had symptoms.) -

No contractors will come out. Have tried for a year for a bigger issue with absolutely no luck or no shows. No worries with fixing for resale as house will possibly/probably be torn down on resale. it wounds like the countertop models with work well enough for this Siri, so I will look into those. I’d love to hear names or suggestions of keywords to look for. thank you -

And they had an awful time finding one to fit the cabinet a few years ago. I don’t think they cook turkeys or big cakes. -

The problem is the cabinet is too small into fit today’s ovens. -
talk to me about negotiating salary for first "real" job
NewnameC replied to gardenmom5's topic in The Chat Board
Two of my adult kids are engineers and their experiences match these posts. My oldest daughter, bachelor’s degree, and her boyfriend, master’s degree, both started working at same level and salary at their company. After hiring, raises are based on performance reviews. My oldest son works for a company that is heavily unionized. Even though his job is not part of a union, there is a published salary schedule that tells him exactly how much he will be making in 1 year, 3 years, etc in his current position. The company has great benefits. -
In other words can they be a family’s only oven? I’m asking for a friend whose parents wall oven has died. It is a built in and new ovens won’t fit in the current space/cabinet. They have been unable to find resize the opening, and it may not even be possible. It is for older family members and they are just normal cooks, no super elaborate meals. They would need an easy to operate oven. I think I read here that someone only has a countertop oven. Any suggestions on what to look for in buying a countertop oven that will be the only oven in the house.

What about peppermint milkshake pie. What you’ll need 1 Chick-fil-A® Peppermint Chip Milkshake (if the milkshake is melted, even better!) 6 oz. ready-to-eat chocolate pie crust 8 oz. carton whipped topping, thawed ¼ cup crushed peppermint (about 4 regular candy canes) ¼ cup mini chocolate chips Time to shake things up Stir 4 oz. of whipped topping and Peppermint Chip Milkshake together with crushed peppermint and mini chocolate chips (set aside 1 tbsp of the mints and chips for the topping). If the milkshake is melted, just whisk together to mix evenly with the whipped topping. Once mixed, pour into the pie crust. Cover and freeze for a minimum of 4 hours. Before serving, top with 4 oz. of whipped topping, then sprinkle on the remaining crushed mints and chocolate chips.
