I am new to Well-Trained mind. I am reading the book now and really excited about getting started. I have an eleven year old son. We are going to start with fifth grade history BC 5000 to 400 AD. I see that we are supposed to start with the Phoencians. How long do I stay with the phonecians until I move on? Thanks for your help.

I am seriously considering starting with the fifth grade level of work in the Well-trained Mind book but I'm not sure if that would be a bad decision or not.

Hi I have a 9 year old starting fourth grade. I've been having trouble finding a Language Arts program that I like. So I have decied to try First language lessons level 3. Which Writing with Ease level should I purchase? I've heard great things about both of these. Thanks for your help.

Hi We are using Saxon Phonics grade 2. I am just curious what do people use after they finish the Saxon phonics grade 2 program. I know Saxon has a writing and grammar program starting in grade 5. What do I use for grades 3rd and 4th?

At this time I do not own a copy of WTM but I was wondering if someone might be able to help me. I am extremely frustrated with my history textbook we are working through and would like to try WTM. My son is a first grader. What history book would I need to start with? Thanks, Rebecca
