There is also one here: http://www.cpo.com/home/Portals/2/Media/post_sale_content/LSN/Ancillaries/U3/U3_Skill_and_Practice_Sheets/LSN_U3_SS.pdf This is a packet of worksheets for a unit in CPO life science. I'm not sure how detailed you want the diagram to be, but I think these are quite detailed. There is an animal cell labeling worksheet with the nucleus, vacuole, ribosomes, cytoplasm, cell membrane, cytoskeleton, lysosome, mitochondira, golgi body, and ER. There is also a worksheet for a plant cell with the nucleus, ribosomes, mitochondria, cell wall, central vacuole, cell membrane, cytoskeleton, chloroplasts, golgi body, and ER. I can scan the labeled pages from the text book and email them to you, if you would like or I can post the answers if you need them. Just let me know! :001_smile:

Need (free) resource for teaching how to write a biography
Joyous replied to plain jane's topic in K-8 Curriculum Board
Maybe you can find something that will help here: http://www.webenglishteacher.com/biography.html -
:bigear: We just started using Winston Grammar, too. I thought about using Giggles in the Middle but haven't decided yet. It looks like it would be fun! Would love to hear what others have used!

We got ours today, too! No magazine yet, though.

What are you favorite homeschool curriculum review sites??
Joyous replied to BatmansWife's topic in K-8 Curriculum Board
Just had to add that I have recently started a homeschool reviews website (see my sig.). I am attempting to make a "master list" of homeschool reviews available on the internet. For each curriculum, I have links to several homeschool reviews websites, to the publisher's website, and to Amazon if the curriculum is available there. So far I have: homeschoolreviews.com, Cathy Duffy reviews, Successful Homeschooling, Homeschoolcurriculum.org, Homeschoolchristian.com, Choosy Homeschooler, Eclectic Homeschool Online, Hearthside Homeschool, Homeschool Art Mom and maybe a couple others. I recently found some other review sites that I hope to be adding soon. If anyone would like me to link to reviews on their blog or website just send me a pm. -
My 10 yo daughter used Math Whizz for awhile last spring. When she first started it she really enjoyed it and spent about 1 hr/day using it. Then she got to some problems she had trouble with and didn't want to do it anymore. I really liked that I could log in and see exactly what skills she was having trouble with and how she was progressing. The animations were great, too! I also saw the deal at Homeschool Buyer's Co-op and it does seem pricey. I would like her to try it again this year, but I will probably do the monthly subscription at 19.95/month in case she struggles with it again.

I did the 1st quarter of MOH Vol 1 with my 5th grade dd last winter. I bought The Student Bible Atlas and the Rand McNally Historical Atlas of the World. We used the Bible atlas several times, but we never used the Historical Atlas in the first 27 lessons. Maybe you would need it for the later lessons?

We used The Elements this spring. My 5th grade dd really enjoyed it and was proud of the fact that she was learning the same thing her 8th grade brother was in ps. Joy
