  1. @teachermom2834Thank you so much for your comments, and especially for reminding me that its ok to find the "get 'er done" courses! I really think this is such good advice, and brings me back down to earth so to speak. Some of the courses I have been looking at look great, but would probably be a bad fit for my daughter who has dreams of dancing with the NYC Ballet!
  2. @CAtoVA, I'm considering using it for at least one class for her. They do look like good courses, and if she's only doing one, it shouldn't be too overwhelming.
  3. @CAtoVA, Thank you for these suggestions! I'm going to look into them, as options!
  4. @farrar, She is in and out of classes throughout the day, and will need to fit in lunch at some point. The live options are difficult to work in based not the hours she is dancing, so I definitely will stick to asynchronous or self-paced options.
  5. @farrar, Thank you so much for taking time to offer your advise! I definitely will reconsider the Clover Valley Chemistry option if it will be too work intensive. The last thing I want is for her to feel undue stress trying to get her work completed while dancing 5 hours a day! Do you have any experience/knowledge of Funda Funda Academy? They have a chemistry course that looks good, but not sure what the workload would be like. I will take a look at G3 as I am completely unfamiliar with this one. Thank you for the detail on ASU. Im not sure that would be something she would be interested in.
  6. @EKS, I am looking a both of these right now! Over the years, I have peeked at Bravewriter, but never used. I like the look of the Online class options. Which one did you use? Derek Owens looks good too. We have used Mr. D self paced and Saxon. I'm considering the Mr. D live course, and also checked out Dennison Algebra which is self paced. She is not a big fan of math, and I have always been a student with her to work through problems together. Hoping to make the right choice for Algebra, so she does not get frustrated.
  7. @CAtoVA, thank you for your response. I like the look of Clover Creek Chemistry, but not sure how she would do the labs, and also how the grading would work. The live class is full, so I would need to go with self-paced. I'm stumped on history at the moment. Thinking of even going with PACworks, as she did this for World History and it was fine. Any self-paced history ideas? I am not wanting her to have any courses that require a large time commitment as ballet will take up a large portion of her day. @Farrar,can you tell me more about ASU? I'm thinking of mixing courses from various providers rather than an all in one.
  8. Thank you so much for all of these responses! I am so overwhelmed at the moment, so this gives me some ideas to look into. She really does have limited time to do "live" classes, and these have never been a preference for her. I think asynchronous would serve her well. I am trying to avoid anything too intense, as her focus is ballet, and she has never had an interest in attending college. I prefer to pick and choose as I always have rather than an all in one online academy. You all have given me wonderful responses, and I am very grateful for the help!
  9. No high school is attached to the program. The options are the public school for performing arts, or a private school option that is out of our price range. Thank you for these suggestions. I will look at them.
  10. My daughter will be attending a ballet training residency program in NYC in the fall, and I am scrambling to figure out what she will do for homeschool without me there. We have homeschooled since 3rd grade, and never used an online homeschool program. I have been looking at piecing together various courses such as Funda Funda Academy, Dennison Algebra, Lantern English, but I am wondering if that will work or if I need an "all in one". She cannot be in any "live" classes, as she has dance classes throughout the day. I would appreciate any suggestions offered here!
