Yes, I didn't go to bed until 1:30 last night (it is 12:13 pm here) My 11 year old son even told me that I'm spending way too much time on here.
BTW: That same 11 year old is a Leukemia survivor. He was diagnosed when he was 3.5. Needless to say, he has a huge pre-existing condition so you can imagine my joy over the passing of this bill. I actually cried when the numbers came in. I have feared for his future ever since he was diagnosed. With a pre-existing condition how would he ever be able to get healthcare for his children someday? How would he provide for his family? Now I have hope! Hope for him and hope for his future.
Perhaps you can understand why I support this as much as I do. Despite our personal circumstances, I would still feel that is morally unacceptable to not provide affordable, obtainable healthcare to our citizens. We are the only industrialized country in the world that has no such provisions. It makes me ashamed to be an American.
