  1. We did not finish the Progressing with Courage grammar book 6 last year (completed up to lesson 78 out of 132 lessons). Should we complete book 6 before moving on to book 7, or should I skip to book 7? My daughters are 7th and 8th grade. Thanks!
  2. Hi! I was wondering if anyone can give their views on whether 'Grammar for the Well-Trained Mind' or the 'Rod & Staff' series are better for middle grade grammar? I used 'Grammar for the Well-Trained Mind' in grades 1-3, then my children went to a Montessori school for a while. They're now in grades 6 & 7. I really liked GWTM and my children were very strong in grammar after using it. However, I noticed in 'The Well-Trained Mind' that while it's recommended for the Grammar stage, it's not mentioned at all as a recommendation in the logic stage. Thanks!
  3. Hi Everyone! I have a 6th and 7th grader. We are returning to homeschooling after we took a 2 year break of them going to a Montessori school. I am planning to use the Well Trained Mind schedule in science of studying each of the areas for around 6 weeks, but progressing in depth. However, I'm not sure how to do it as the books and method up to 8th grade are the same. How do I ensure my 7th grader is studying a more in depth level than my 6th grader? How do I ensure that next year they are studying a deeper level than this year? And where do we begin with the books? Do we start at the beginning even though they are in the middle of the logic stage? I appreciate any and all advice. Thank you so much! ~ Arshia
