My dc do best when we start with me reading something aloud (usually, Bible and then history or science). Today we were esp sluggish so we took the dog on a walk to wake everyone up and then I read. They love hearing me read so will move quicker through the morning routine so nothing is missed.

I have been very pleased watching my son grow as he entered the dreaded system. His faith is becoming his own and he is serious about his studies. He would tell you that the biggest growth factor has been in the area of public speaking. He even took drama this year which I would never in a million years have picked for him. Now, he was a teen when he entered. I can't say that I am ready to send my other dc yet, but if I had to, I know it will be okay. You are worried about behavior...my ds still loves his family over peers and would rather hang with his little bros on the weekends. Hope this encourages you. This is a hard decision to make.

My son has only a bit of math and science most nights. Of course, we are only a couple of weeks in so that may change.

...if my neighbor doesn't stop chainsawing. He is right off of my back patio. This is the hobby he chose in his retirement. Why can't he whittle? My dh asked him to not do this hour after hour and he stopped for awhile but there he goes again. I am losing my mind! I had to shut up the house just so we could do school. Oh, his property goes back 300 feet but he likes chainsawing right next to my house. He is wearing headphones to protect his ears but we are not so lucky. I want to live far from people!: ok. I feel better. Just had to rat on him to someone. Thanks!

This weekend I was supposed to have no plans, just relax and see where life took me, instead my dh invited his mom to spend the weekend...I had like 3 hours to clean the house and generally freak out before my hostess duties kicked in......did not relax.

You are right, dogs that bark incessantly are beyond annoying! I don't know why the cats choose my yard at night to do their screechy, death song, but boy does it freak me out when it starts! I think your plan sounds good. Your dd wants a pet and if the cat likes it outside, I say go for it.

I get upset with people who let their cats wander all over...the nighttime racket can wake the dead. But I am a dog person so am biased:001_smile: btw we have gps and they are hardy little rodents if you don't let them get too hot. Good luck!

Oops...I meant the warranty was reactivated. My iPad changes words that I type sometimes...kind of a forced spell check. Glad you fixed the problem.

Call ninetindo....they are really helpful (we even got to talk to an American). We actually had to send ours in for repair which deactivated the 2 year warranty.

I would have a chat with the little usurper....it would not be fun but she has to know that she is being a royal pain. Then, after either her denials of misconduct or her apologies, I would make my decision whether to stay or go. The feeling of "not being called" may just be the result of your anger/frustration. Oh, and I would talk face to face. Over the phone or via email might only cause more problems. Maybe a visit to a coffee shop? Sorry you have do deal with this.
