  1. Welcome back! My theory is that there's been a new, hypersensitive moderator keeping an eye on this place for the last month or so.

    I've missed your fireworks.

  2. You didn't kill that thread--if anything, you brought it back to life for one last time. :)

  3. Great job on your school room! You really made the most of your space. :)

  4. Most of our school room furniture (including our chairs) are from IKEA. They are great for little kid behinds, but a little hard on the adults. Thanks for asking. :)

  5. I've been following your thread on filing bankruptcy. Please know my family and I are continuing to pray for you. :grouphug:

  6. I'm liking the new bee!

  7. Speaking of complaining and quarreling, I thought you handled yourself very well in the child abuse/spanking thread. You have a clear pov, but you expressed yourself kindly and with humility. I usually don't get involved with those kinds of hot issues, because I know from experience that I quickly lose my charity for others (never a good thing). Great job! :001_smile:

  8. :seeya:Just stopping by to say hello. You've been on my mind, and I hope you are well.

  9. Yech! I feel a bit queasy myself. :001_unsure:

New topic: What's hsing like in Scotland? Are you one of many or is it rare? Do you have homeschooling stores and curriculum publishers that cater to homeschoolers, or do you mainly order from the States? :bigear:

  10. Corn dogs--good choice! Edible, but not my favorite. I try to avoid hot dogs in any form, but I can eat one if I go really fast and don't think about what I'm eating. That's key for me. Ignorance is bliss when it comes to food. :001_smile:

  11. Haggis--hmmm... We can still be friends, I guess. :D Tell me what Americans eat that sounds gross, and I'll tell you if it's on the list of things I love.

  12. What?!! You didn't find my posts incredibly thought provoking and life changing? :svengo: You must not have read the one about cleaning my stove. Of course, it's true I'm not as prolific as some on the board--I've got five children that keep me pretty busy--but I do try to post on important issues (see above reference).

  13. Doh--you're in Scotland, of course. Transplanted, or a native?

  14. We are all doing fine. I'm coming off of a four day weekend, so I'm well rested and ready to homeschool. Did you guys take any time off for Veteran's Day?

  15. Ack! You've forced me to look through all of your old posts to find one I can say "Yep! I agree with that!" :D It's not that I agree or disagree, really, I just enjoy reading your comments, like the one about kids being obedient. It's reasonable, and gives the OP some practical ways to deal with her situation. Does this clarify?

  16. Hi! I like reading your posts, and thought we might be "friends." :001_smile:

  17. :seeya: Hi Beans! I enjoy your posts, too. :001_smile:

  18. :seeya: Just swinging by to say hello, and hope all is well with you!

  19. Dropping by to say hi and see how things are going. I was sad to read about your store closing--this economy just stinks!!! Sending prayers and :grouphug: your way.

  20. :001_smile: Hey Myrtle! Haven't seen you in a while, but I hope all is well!

  21. I'm actually planning on cleaning the stove tomorrow. This will be my dh when he sees me. :svengo:

    Glad you're feeling better!

  22. :Angel_anim: Happy All Saints Day Eve eve!

  23. :biggrinjester: I'm just dropping by to say hello, and hope you are doing well. BTW, what kind of stove did you get? Do you think it be unethical to torch mine so I don't have to clean it?

  24. Greetings, Friend! :seeya:

  25. :auto: Just driving by to say hi!
