Hi! I do live at the Lake of the Ozarks. I'd be happy to tell you about it. The lake area is really several small towns scattered around the Lake of the Ozarks. The closest city is probably Jefferson City which is the MO capitol. The cities of Columbia and Springfield are just about 11/2 hours drive away. One side of the lake, over by Osage Beach is the busier side, the West side, over by Sunrise Beach, tends to be a bit quieter, less partying. There are several smaller homeschool groups in the area. There is one in Camdenton that meets for social things, like park day, and another that has some classes twice a month. This second group is not quite a homeschool co-op yet but is working towards this. There has been a very active homeschool group in the town of Lebanon, it was very active, seemed to kind of lose steam for a while, but may be reorganizing from what I've heard. Not sure if I'm telling you what you need to know so please ask any questions you like.
