  1. Sorry, I forgot to mention that he is 9 years old. I wish that hearing aids would help. I had surgery when i was 23 on the right ear after being tested and then more testing for hearing aids. The doctor determined the condition, i forget what it is called, but it is hereditary, normally skips a generation and is more common in females after they start having children.
  2. Hopefully I am in the right place. My grandson has been diagnosed ASD (high functioning), ADHD and OCD. We normally do pretty well. But the last week I have had a problem with him repeating himself in a whisper. I am totally deaf in one ear. He knows this, and a lot of times I have to ask him to repeat his question. Lately, he repeats himself in a whisper. I ask him again to please say it again as I can not hear him and he gets even quieter. I have talked to him about my hearing problem and why I would like him to cooperate with me to no avail. What else can I do? Is this something he will grow out of? Please help
