Can we talk about varicose vein solutions and problems?
Vicki replied to Ginevra's topic in The Chat Board
I order a herbal supplement on Amazon called Diosmin. My dh swears it has helped his varicose veins and his legs don't bother him as much. It couldn't hurt to try it. -
Praying. I understand completely. My middle ds is bipolar. He was diagnosed about 5 years ago at age 21. Actually, he needed to be diagnosed before that. It is still a struggle. I did decide the best thing I could do for myself was eat right, get plenty of sleep, exercise, and stay close to God. I read everything I could on the subject. I talked to my ds's counselor once and she said it was very important that I had support too. I do. It helps. I still worry. I hasn't been easy. I'd be happy to talk to you.

I just want to encourage you. My dd suffered a concussion the fall of her senior year. She had constant headaches, stomach pains, numbness, tingling, vision problems ( losing her vision in one eye for short periods, and blurriness), fatigue ( she even fell asleep on the treadmill one time, frequent urinaion, thirst, and lost weight. We saw several doctors, had lots of tests. The hit on the head caused diabetes insipidus for one thing. Most of her symptoms lasted for almost 2 years. Today, she is fine, although she will always take medication for diabetes insipidus.

We are moving to Lubbock.. anybody else there that can give us some advice.
Vicki replied to a topic in The Chat Board
My daughter, son-in-law, and grand baby live in Lubbock. My son--in-law is a real estate agent and doesn't have rentals, but he said he'd be glad to help you. He can look up rentals and tell you what areas to avoid. I live in Midland, but come up to babysit my grand baby 1-2 days a week. Let me know if you want to talk to him and I'll give you his number. -
My oldest ds lives there. He is a dentist with Gateway Health Clinic. I visit several times a year. It is hot. It has already been in the hundreds. I haven't met any homeschoolers, but then I haven't really looked. My son would probably be willing to answer any questions you might have about the area.

Ok, can I count the wii fit as exercise?
Vicki replied to Whereneverever's topic in General Education Discussion Board
I count it too. Although I mostly do Wii Active, the treadmill, and lift weights. God bless, Vicki -
I understand. For the last three years we have had several large medical bills that have made it hard to not add to our debt. At times we have had to charge things because of medical needs. We do have insurance, but our part always ends up being more than I think it should be. We have met our deductible the last 3 years. God bless, Vicki

I've stuck with daily exercise for three weeks today!
Vicki replied to rafiki's topic in The Learning Challenges Board
You're doing great!!! Keep it up! I decided a couple of years ago to make exercise a priority in my life. I feel much better and my blood pressure has gone down from the high of 135/88 to 107/70. My pulse has also gone down too. God bless, Vicki -
Please pray. It is a matter of life and death.
