  1. If you're considering Memoria I would honestly reach out to their forum or call their customer service, there is a plethora of help there! https://forum.memoriapress.com/
  2. Check out Memoria Press Simply Classical. https://www.memoriapress.com/curriculum/special-needs/
  3. We did Memoria Press this year, whole box of everything and Rainbow Resource sells everything you need for their craft book all packaged together for you, it was a breeze! Also they just came out with videos for phonics so my son goes through his lesson taught by Miss Michelle (the Primary Director of Education at the Highlands Latin School) while I put the baby down for a nap and then I can return and help him if he needs it. We’ve really enjoyed our year so far! MP is on the advanced side so I’d recommend checking out their Jr. K program as well.
  4. I personally LOVED OPGTR. I loved the open and go, the scripted-ness, and the fact that it was the only book I needed. We used the Phonics Museum app as well and we did Memoria Press Jr. K and now we're doing MP K.
  5. AI second the Boxcar Children books. My son is about to turn 5 and has been loving audiobooks since he was 2.5. Some of our favorites are: The Mouse and the Motorcycle series The Little House series The Happy Little Family series Paddington Frog and Toad audio collection The Mercy Watson collection The Tumtum and Nutmeg series Winnie the Pooh and and The House at Pooh Corner (the ones read by Peter Dennis) The Cat in the Hat and Other Dr. Seuss Favorites The Cricket in Times Square James Herriots Treasury for Children The Jesus Storybook Bible Just So Stories Stuart Little Charlottes Web
  6. My first post and my first year officially homeschooling! I've been researching since my oldest was 2... 🙄 We are currently doing unofficial homeschooling using Mathematical Reasoning Beginning 2 and OPTGR (and really love this simple combo!) We had tried out AAR Level 1 but as it progressed he was not loving it and I didn't want to push it with him being 4! So we purchased AAR Pre-Reading and do this after OPTGR as a dessert of sorts. He is making major progress with OPTGR however, so I don't think we need to go down the AAR route, however cute that puppet is 😉 We also have the Phonics Museum app that we use here and there and we will probably continue with it because we both love Miss Biddle. Ok, for K, I have fallen in love with Memoria Press! We are about to start their Jr. Kindergarten literature and the Myself & Others Book One core set in addition to what we are doing now. I plan to use their K curriculum as is, and actually really looking forward to Rod and Staff Math! In addition to their Bible curriculum we will also continue to do Awana.
