The ceremony is at 7pm and we’re wearing black gowns anyway. You think it will be okay? It is my favorite dress ever and fits me well so I wouldn’t mind wearing it again.

Preferably boatneck, sleeveless, midi, fit and flare lol. I have the above criteria in this pattern pictured below but I think it’s too dark for spring. Picture is from poshmark and it doesn’t show the fit well, just the pattern. The link is the style I am looking for, but I don’t like the color or pattern. I usually wear aqua/teal, black, some reds. No bold patterns. No black/white. I am pretty pale and yellows, beiges, tans don’t look good on me. I haven't ditched the thread. The anxiety attacks are ramping up. I want to answer everyone's questions and I do appreciate the advice. I'm hearing and considering all of it. To answer one question: Im afraid of how much worse it is going to get when I leave. The threats of no money, etc. Judges go by formulas, I know that. It's just that I will have to deal with them and him getting nastier. Im also afraid of it escalating. It's a very real fear that comes true for so many women even if there is no previous physical abuse.

I want to go, but I'm afraid. One kid would probably stop speaking to him. One is the golden child. The others will support whatever I do. They grew up in this crap so they know.

I don't want it to seem like I'm pinning this all in mental illness. He's emotionally abusive. He has accused me of cheating practically our whole marriage. I've done counseling. We tried together until I realized why it's contraindicated. He goes sporadically but honestly, he's getting worse. What set him off this time was me telling him that I didn't deserve to be screamed at when I bring a concern to him.

This weekend my dh went into one of his “tantrums” I call it. He said he’s is only going to stay married to me until I cheat, which I will definitely do. And with my professor, no less. He is obviously not well. Do I share this with my grown children and confront him to get help? Do I just tell them with no expectation of an “intervention?” I have been having anxiety since he said this a few days ago. Thankfully he is away for the week. I just feel helpless having to hold this myself. 😢
