  1. It can seem like she wants attention but I think about how she was also a victim of JB and Michelle growing up. She always knew they disapproved of her and probably only “put up” with her because they are family. I think she just wants to be heard. Their reach extended to the whole family.
  2. She emailed back thanking me for my email and said “just so you know, your interview went very well.” She said she talked to her supervisors and will hopefully start the background soon and looks forward to working with me! I refuse to get excited but I am cautiously hopeful. The position opens up at the end of summer.
  3. I have a second interview on Friday. Same position in another county. I sent a follow-up email to the first interviewer, thanking her for the interview and sharing some things that I appreciated learning about the position.
  4. Thank you! Those two questions for sure and also my greatest strength/weakness, and how I handle angry customers/clients/etc. I don’t know how it went but I felt pretty at ease/comfortable. We’ll find out soon, I guess.
  5. I was about to send one and she emailed back confirming the time!
  6. I'm not sure what to do. The supervisor asked me yesterday to let her know what time and I replied back asking if 10am works for her. That was around 5 pm yesterday. I have not heard back. Do I send another email before 5 pm?
  7. Omgosh. The interviewer just asked me to move the interview up to this Thursday. I chose next Wednesday because it would give more time to think about it (worry). Now I have two days! I have not had a job in 27 years. Freaking out a little bit.
  8. Eek! I was contacted for an interview. Likely will be Wednesday, just waiting on a time. Am I right to assume bare toes in heel sandals is a no no? They are the only dress shoes I have. Was thinking black dress pants and a black and white blouse? I will shop for shoes this weekend. Anything to look for or avoid? The interview is at a government legal office.
  9. This is perfect, thanks! I can’t believe I didn’t think about doing this. We have an account that isn’t really used and I can totally do this.
  10. Yeah, it’s in that $$$ range 😬. Maybe I could do it a few months apart.
  11. Mini update and question. $20 bills take up a lot of space. If I take them to a bank to exchange some of them for 100s, would I get flagged for anything by the bank?
  12. I just started them two months ago. Like them so far.
  13. My daughter has used this and had good results. https://www.jergens.com/en-au/products/natural-glow/daily-moisturiser/ Personally, I have been sitting in the sun for 10 minutes a side each day with Australian Gold Instant Bronzer sunscreen. I know that’s not a popular choice but I that’s what I do.
  14. My husband has not been home since I started this. I also wear Frownies to bed but I go to bed after him and wake up before him. If he happens to look over at me some time he's going to be in for a shock! 😲😅
  15. I can see how that might be a problem. I already clench my teeth and grind them. I wear a retainer to bed which helps but I will look out for further issues.
  16. I know I sleep with my mouth open and had the gum/teeth issues to prove it. I still wake up with my mouth hanging open sometimes. My husband says I snore sometimes. I've see a lot about it on social media but wasn't sure what to think. Anyway, I tried it a few nights ago and I slept through the night so well. Like amazingly well and I felt rested when I woke up. Adding that I have terrible sleep but figured it was because I'm 50. I'm sure that's a part of it, but if this helps, why not? I have done it for 5 days now. I can't really explain the feeling when I put it on but I saw someone else describe it as the comfort of a weighted blanket. So true. Just wondering if anyone else has tried it.
  17. I graduate next month and want to go into a certain field. The positions all require 6 months of volunteer experience. I am still homeschooling DS so I have not been able to make it work yet. DH is home several days a week but does not keep DS on track when I am gone. Feeling pretty irritated about that. Also my resume is embarrassing. I did the best I could tailoring homeschooling and other life experiences for the position but blah. I have no experience interviewing for a job and have not worked in 27 years. My imposter syndrome is in full force right now.
  18. Uni-check is my favorite. https://unicheck.com
  19. I reminded him of my schedule and when I can take him yesterday when he brought up the blocked feeling. He said he knows it needs to be done. For various reasons, though, I will not be scheduling it for him.
  20. It's not scheduled yet. He's been sitting in the referral for over 2 months. He's pretty much dragging himself everywhere. Just feels fatigued.
  21. A relative mentioned hernia when he had the blood clumps in his bowel movements, but this was months ago before the blocked feeling. A hernia would be one of the better outcomes I've seen, though.
  22. He does have GERD so maybe that’s part of it. I just have never heard of the blocked feeling with diarrhea so I am curious what it could be.
  23. Just kidding but any ideas would be appreciated. Person has mostly diarrhea (months). When person eats, it feels like it just wants to come back up but person never throws up. It’s just a general feeling of it wants to or like “something is blocked.” Not much of an appetite, upset stomach most of the time. In November, person had purple clumps in bowel movements but none since (or so I’m told). Person waited until February to go to doctor who referred a colonoscopy. It is now April. 😑 Any ideas? Yes, I know this cannot be diagnosed here I’m just looking for ideas of what those symptoms could mean.
