we used it several years ago and DS loved it! He retained almost all the info, as well. I thin that would be a wise choice with your other curricula.

You might want to check out Spelling Power. With SP, you only have to buy one book for all your spelling. It is rule based, but the kids move through the levels at their own speed. You can choose what activities to use and there are no worksheets! You can find it at Rainbow Resource or CBD.

DS is an only and will remain an only. I'm almost 49 and too old to have kids no adoption in the future either. I agree with the previous poster, "endless chatter" . DS is 11.

I can so relate!:tongue_smilie: My son is a math hater too! I am looking at trying the ACE math Accelerated Christian Education. They have a placement test online that would place your son.
