Are these used as a supplement or a complete curriculum? I have a pencil phobic boy whom I will be starting WT-1 with next year, so I know I will have some battles over "more" writing with him, and this looks intriging.
Thanks!
I was thinking of getting something like this for our yard:

Jeana,
Not SWB here, but I imagine she will need more information than your post supplies in order to give you any advice. What grade is the child in currently? has she had any grammar? and what is her skill level.
Blessings,
Currently using:
Sonlinght readers
FLL2
R&S Spelling 2
ETC 5 (one left then onto 6)
Copywork/Dictation
Narration from History & Science
Has already completed:
OPGTR
ETC 4
Blessings,
This is exactly what I did with my ds. I gave him the book and had him read the lesson, if he had any problems with the words I would then "teach" the lesson. This worked out very well and highlighted a few gaps he had in his reading. We had a little celebration when he finished the book.
Blessings,
My ds loves to watch his shows, he loves learning the "stuff" about food (as he says). His other favorites are 30 min meals and Dinner Impossible.
Blessings,
Although I didn't make up my own curriculum. I used Scott Foresman Exploring Mathematics (1994) for K and 1 with *great* success both are workbooks and I didn't need the TM (there is also a Yahoo group ). I bought them used through http://www.academicbookservices.com . They were $11 and $13.75 respectively. I have purchased several things through this company and have never had a negative experiance. Another option is http://oldfashionededucation.com/arithmetic_math.htm this is a "free" online curriculum (although I have not personally used it).
Good luck finding what you need.
I am currently using your SOTW-1 pages and have found them to be very helpful. In fact I was wondering how to set up my own pages for SOTW2 next year( and NOT looking forward to it). Using your pages this year has enabled me to do history 2 days and science 2 days, in years past I have struggled to get both of these subjects done every week.
Thanks for your hard work.:)
Blessings,
Yep, I know what you mean. I usually check the boards several times a day for new posts but rarely have anything to add. So even though I consider WTM boards as my #1 board, you couldn't tell from my post count.
Blessings,
I don't know where in Ca. you are, but in Orange county for instance there is one particular ISP that is directly affiliated with a Christian k-12 school. If you join thier ISP your child *can* play on the teams, but you do need to pay for it.
Good Luck!
Trishe
I am planning to use the level 1 writing in combo with FLL1 for my (will be) first grade dd next year. I am also planning on a FLL3/ level 2 combo for my (will be) 3rd grade son since he has had *no* "formal" writing instruction to date and he is very "pencil" phobic
