Maybe, you could all take a 15 min. exercise break together, or sing some songs, before you get into the brain work with the next student.
Or
You could pick curriculum that is as self teaching as possible for math, and learning to read, and a multi-grade curriculum for science and social studies.

Yes computer games, workbooks, etc. that she finds enjoyable for math, is a good idea.
Since she enjoys reading, maybe Life of Fred books would be a good option, with the fun stories and fewer problems.

Rod&Staff is okay if he doesn't mind not having color.
Study Time Arithmetic is another option when he gets to grade 3.
Horizons is divided into lessons, so you could schedule a lesson per day. It is a nice colorful math curriculum.

Why not, one little lesson, or part of a lesson at a time!
Maybe The Reading Lesson book, would be an option.
Another option is the Jolly Phonics Finger Phonics books.
Or maybe some workbooks like Explode the Code or Adventures in Phonics.
