  1. My vote is for #1. I also don't post much, but have been checking for updates on your job situation as they sounded like they were just going to keep making unfulfilled promises. My son is in a situation where the company keeps stringing him along. When they think he is about to leave, they will throw him a bone, but never fully do what they say they are going to, and I'm afraid yours may do the same.

    Good luck!

I don't have any experiences with kids taking serious sports lessons, but here is my experience with a kiddo taking serious piano lessons:

Here is Spencer playing at his recital 2 weeks ago:

This is a child who LOVES piano, so if lessons or practice start to interfere with that, then something is awry and changes need to be made.

He is just precious and full of talent!

  3. I have not read through all the comments, just the current last page, so this may have already been said. The gunman was engaged by law enforcement before entering the building. They tried to stop him, but were unsuccessful and at least one was shot in the process. I don't see how bells, buzzers and a locked door would have prevented the gunman from getting inside though granted, having to shoot through a locked door would have slowed him down.

If you can find one, look for someone that is certified in EMDR. EMDR is great for any kind of trauma, but it can work wonders in helping with an acute traumatic event like this one.

I was going to suggest EMDR also. It helped me tremendously after a traumatic event that I kept reliving.

  5. I am so sorry for your loss. Though I don't post much, I have followed the story of your parents and their journey of recovery after that horrific accident, and you have all been in my thoughts and prayers. It just seems unfair after everything they have gone through.

I'm in Round Rock. Did we talk about this before? 🙂

Hi neighbor, I don't think we have talked about it. I don't homeschool anymore since my son is 28, but starting to do some homeschooling type activities with my 4 year old granddaughter.

I'm in Pflugerville too. But right on the border so the tornado was much closer -- 3 miles.

Hello neighbor! I am on the opposite side of Pflugerville, the part that is Travis county instead of Williamson. I was visiting a friend yesterday who lives near Kalahari and saw several trees and a sign knocked over.
