  1. I have two and they are doing fine I think. Myself, I'm having worries that the college isn't a good fit for one ds. It was not his first choice school...more like his 4th choice. He has a great attitude though and hopefully he'll find his niche there.
  2. I bought a Rowenta is6200...it was on sale at Target recently so maybe not a current model. It's a bit bigger than I expected but I didn't want a travel steamer. https://www.rowentausa.com/LINEN-CARE/GARMENT-STEAMERS/COMPACT-VALET-GARMENT-STEAMER-IS6200/p/1830003652
  3. Wow, I have never heard of this. I just bought ds a travel iron for college (at his request!)--maybe this would be better. I recently started using a steamer at home and it's awesome--I'll never iron again! (Not that I ever ironed much lol)
  4. This made me think of another...all the fake lips/boobs/butts of celebrities and other people. Crazy.
  5. The shipping cost is known to the buyer and if they agree to it, they agree to it. It's not necessarily the actual 'postage' cost. Some sellers offer free shipping, some offer calculated shipping, some add a fee, some choose a flat rate. And sellers are charged eBay fees on shipping costs, so they aren't getting around eBay fees with higher shipping costs.
  6. Regardless of the actual shipping cost to the seller, the seller should use the shipping method stated in the sale. First class, priority, etc.
  7. Ours uses the second system. I don't like it because they need to have a 3.0 or their scholarship is gone for good. Seems like it favors certain majors that might be somewhat easier to keep a higher gpa.
  8. What if one spouse is older and/or has health problems? How does the younger/healthier spouse deal with the finances if the other spouse needs a lot of expensive care? Is there any protection for retirement assets/home for the spouse?
  9. I've had a Bonavita for a few years and I'm happy with it. Nice HOT coffee. (I use a separate grinder for the beans)
  10. Sounds like a complete narcissist. Everything is ALWAYS about THEM. They don't think like a normal person. At all.
  11. Thanks for posting this link...I found a table explaining the buttons on my particular machine and it cleared up a lot of my confusion!
  12. this pretty much like the recipe I use: thanks for any help! :) https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/216737/honey-baked-lentils/ 1 pound dry lentils 1 small bay leaf 2 cups water 2 (14.5 ounce) cans chicken broth 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 cup water 1/2 cup honey Directions Combine the lentils, bay leaf, 2 cups water, chicken broth, and salt together in a dutch oven or oven-proof saucepan; bring the mixture to a boil. Place a cover on the pan, reduce heat to medium-low, and allow the lentils to simmer for 30 minutes. Remove and discard the bay leaf. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Stir the dry mustard, ginger, soy sauce, onion, and 1 cup water together in a bowl; stir the mixture into the lentils. Drizzle the honey over the mixture. Return the cover to the pan. Bake in the preheated oven until the lentils are tender, about 1 hour.
  13. years ago someone posted a delicious honey lentil recipe. Does anyone know how to adapt it to the instant pot? TIA
  14. I'm thinking of doing the same thing!
  15. Hmm I am a bit dense but which cooking program button do you use for this? Poultry Slow Cook Pressure cook ?
  16. I just got my 6 qt instant pot and I am looking for a simple chicken breast recipe/instructions for my first try. Can anyone link or post a simple no fail recipe?
  17. I have sold clothing on eBay and Tradesy. Tradesy does have a wedding section but I have no idea how popular it is.
  18. Well, I was finally able to order the Instant Pot. I haven't been able to make my crockpot work for me so I hope I find this more useful.
  19. hm, I could only see the prime deals for a minute or 2 and it looked like mostly cheap junk. It's like eBay. Can't Bezos afford to make a website that works, at least?!?
  20. Foe me, gas is always about 14 cents cheaper at Costco than the other local stations
  21. I feel like Amazon is trying to take over everything. It must depend on what one is shopping for, but Amazon is NOT my go-to for shopping because I frequently find better prices on other websites for what I'm looking for. Some things are a better deal on Amazon but I always check multiple sites. There's a lot of cheap junk on Amazon too.
  22. I am just sending one set of sheets with my boys. They have a tiny room and if they actually decide to wash their sheets they can just wash them and put them right back on the bed.
