  1. My high schoolers use plain black insulated lunch bags. They pack their own lunches. Mainly because they want to choose their own lunch foods. (If I packed them they'd both get the same lunches :) )

    Sad news

I'm sorry. Sending you a hug.
  3. I've used Stila for a few years. I had finally found a mascara that works and doesn't irritate my eyes. I also really like their color balm lipstick because it has peppermint oil.
  4. I have never had a separate account. I just keep track of business income and expenses. I would be using my personal account for business anyways, because, for example, I'll place an order for office supplies, but some of it will only be for my home office, and some only for our household use. I just keep track of the amount spent for business.
  5. I want my seniors to apply to at least 9 colleges. Like many others, we need the most financial/merit aid we can get for a decent school. Unfortunately they only have a few picked out, despite spending the last year or 2 looking at college info, and being bombarded with college mail.
  6. GET. RID. OF. YOUR. SCALE. Go to a counselor. And to a medical dr. You KNOW you need to get rid of that scale. You just won't do it. But it's a big step in the right direction. Come on, you can do it!
  7. I always wear hiking boots, but my kids just wear their sneakers. Water extra water snacks, extra food sunscreen lightweight jacket trail map small first aid kit tp sunscreen bug spray
  8. Ah, he's so cute! And a lucky pup now!
  9. I really like Smartwool too. Lots of different styles in different thicknesses.
  10. I think it's very hard to buy clothing online....and harder to have someone ELSE basically buying clothing online for you.
  11. Could the person who had already hit the lifetime cap get insurance from another policy? (If they were lucky enough to find another employer who offered a different insurance provider?) Or if it was a child, and the parents had a choice of insurance plans though work, could the child be covered if the parent chose another one of the plans? Ugh.
  12. Hmm, that seems a little stressful. As if they could just replace the 'unlimited ' with whatever number they've chosen. I hate all of these unknowns. I feel like I need to start working on a Plan A, Plan B, etc just in case.. So potentially some people could all of a sudden have no more health coverage even though they have a policy?!
  13. I'm not sure exactly how this worked in the past. I am trying to think about how it might work future. Say a new healthcare bill was passed, to be effective Jan 1 2019. and a policy had a 1 million lifetime cap. Does that mean the amount towards the cap starts on Jan 1 2019, or would it also include the amount spent previously with this policy?
  14. I understand that you have good health insurance/medical care now...(so you don't seem to care about those others who don't), but what about the future of your children? Don't you worry about them getting medical care when they are adults and on their own, without your insurance?
  15. I always looked forward to going back to school when I was a kid! I had and still have a good relationship with my parents and siblings. I just liked school (for the most part), liked seeing my friends everyday, liked the routine, etc. I had separate summer activities, and looked forward to some that were only during the school year. Summer was fun, but then it was time to go back to school! :)
  16. That's great news! I hope your eye appointment goes well too.
  17. I would make a list of your 3 main issues to discuss. Tell the dr at the beginning that you have 3 issues to address, then very briefly state them. Then as the visit goes on or is ending, clarify each of the issues and what your plan of action is. So if the issue wasn't really addressed by the dr. you can bring it up again towards the end in a more business-like manner. I do this with at some of my ds' dr appts, not because the dr doesn't listen, but because sometimes I forget or get distracted by some other topic and then the dr sometimes forgets too. GOOD LUCK!!! :)
  18. Sending good thoughts for your mother! I'm glad your dad and the police are making progress.
  19. I would think if your cooler is large, you could get by with a block or 2 of ice and be fine. Or one block and a bag of ice, and prechill your food and drinks.
