Even though I’ve had a couple of autoimmune diseases, I’m the one who gets a cold, maybe once a year. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had the flu. When I was a teacher, I can count on one hand the number of sick days I ever took. So I’m happy to go to the store and do errands.

DH is a retired military chaplain so our income is guaranteed each month. It’s more then enough for us to live on. Our only debt is our mortgage, which isn’t a problem. Our youngest daughter works for a military contractor. It’s a work from home position, helping military members who are transitioning out of the service. She deals with resume writing. She’s still working but not as many hours. Her DH is a navy helicopter pilot, so they have that guaranteed income. I don’t know all the details of their financial life but she doesn’t seem stressed about money. Oldest DD is a SLP, who went from salaried to hourly. She said she’s doing ok, enough parents want teletherapy, so money is coming in. She said she has about 2 months of living expenses saved. If this last pass that, she’ll need some assistance which we would provide. We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. My heart hurts for the many who have lost their jobs, the small businesses that will never come back😢

DH and I are making a table with some barn wood he brought back from MO. We are hoping to finish it this week if we can find the stain we want. The bottom will be an old Singer sewing machine. After that, I’ll start in earnest, the staining of my kitchen table. I’m wanting to get rid of the golden oak stain and stain it a warmer brown.

DH has a list of things he’d like to keep on hand once this is all over. It’s mostly masks, hand sanitizer and a few other cleaning products. I’ve always have kept a well stocked pantry so nothing different there.

I have never gotten the flu vaccine and a couple of other optional vaccines recommend for a person of my age. I’ll make an informed decision when a C19 vaccine becomes available.

I don’t feel unsafe now. I do what I can and after that, I don’t think to much about it.

No, I’ve been able to stay 6 feet away from people on my morning walks or when hubby and I walk the dog. DH does wear a N95 mask and gloves when we go out though. I just make sure to wash my hands.

I’ve already have been seen at the base clinic but when I called to schedule an appointment, it was 3 weeks out. Asked what I should do, he said ER or urgent care😳I wouldn’t hesitate to go to the ER, if you can’t get your meds any other way.

This is so true! Our breeder will take any of her dogs back for any reason. I also belong to a the breed specific page. Anytime a dog needs to be reformed, several people respond. By the next day, the administrator of the page, states a home has been found.

We have a trip planned for France, Germany and Austria middle of September. We haven’t made any reservations yet. That was to be done after our Easter trip to San Diego😢I cancelled that last week.
