  1. I haven't read a single one of these titles! I haven't read Steinbeck in YEARS. I was actually trying to remember the name Ferrante earlier tonight, so thank you for that!
  2. Oooh! I listened to the audiobook of this one and loved it!
  3. I've read The Chosen and Davida's Harp. Do you recommend another?
  4. The Yeti 20 oz Rambler is my go-to because it has a screw on lid that's leak-proof if screwed on properly (and is gasket-free so doesn't get gunky), magnetic closer-thingie (so the entire thing can be disassembled for cleaning), and is 20 oz. with a handle but designed to fit in the cup holder. If I'm drinking coffee at home, I like the Yeti 14 oz. Rambler . It's too big for the cup holder but it feels more like a regular cup. Yetis are expensive but I haven't found another kind that compares.
  5. @Kareni, you always recommend new to me titles! Thank you!
  6. I think I've read everything she's written! I need to double check, though.
  7. Read this one years ago and enjoyed it ❤️
  8. Read this one and loved it when it first came out ❤️
  9. I read Little Fires Everywhere and Our Missing Hearts but not this one. I really loved Our Missing Hearts.
  10. Both of these are new to me titles. Thanks!
  11. I don't think I've ever read it, or if I have, it was when I was a young adult.
  12. I haven't read I Capture the Castle in nearly twenty years. Thanks for the reminder! I've never read Heart Is a Lonely Hunter.
  13. I adore Hannah and Jayber Crow! I think I've read one more by Berry--maybe the other Coulter one.
  14. Loved that one, too! But I haven't read anything else by St John Mandel. Any more recs by her?
  15. I thought of another one I love very much that is in that coming of age/bildungsroman vein--The Yearling by Rawlings. ❤️
  16. Made my way through that one a few years ago. It was worth it!
  17. I have only read Tree in Brooklyn by Smith. I'll be on the lookout for these!
  18. One of my favorites, as well as Julie by Catherine Marshall. ❤️
  19. I haven't read that particular Cather, but I do love Girl of Limberlost and Freckles.
  20. I want to read something interesting, character-driven, and somewhat complex. What I'm imagining is something like an LM Montgomery novel, but not, because I've read all of those (and almost all of them more than once or twice). It can be a kids' book but only if it's for older kids/teens. I'm thinking of something hefty, like maybe A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Recommendations, anyone?
  21. Echo by Pam Munoz Ryan has multiple story lines and a couple of them are in US.
