  1. True Green Kitty. . .I ain't payin' for no bag that breaks before I even get to my car. . .sorry for the bad English. . but that was my 'tude voice. . .can't you see my finger wagging.
  2. What do you all think of a .05 credit for every bag you bring instead. That way you have an incentive to bring your own, but those of us that choose to continue using them (as pooper scoopers, bathroom trash can liners, recycling) can do so w/o inconvenience.
  3. I hear ya Pamela. . .I'm so afraid of ours skyrocketing as well. DH has AWESOME coverage. It's like $20 week for the fam, and we have a 10% co pay, no charge for generics, 10% co pay for ANY brand name drugs, and $200 deductibles. DDs surgery a few years ago cost us NOTHING with the hospital. . .and she was in for 11 days, ICU for 4, had blood transfusions. . .you name it. . .didn't cost a penny. I pray often that if it changes we will still be able to afford it. . .actually though the great insurance is one of the reasons he's stayed in this job. If the benefits lessen maybe he will be able to find something else.
  4. Just be careful if this is still something that interests you. I have heard others complain that you're getting a rock bottom price, but that doesn't include freight. If you don't pick it up yourself, you incur large freight costs that negate the savings. HTH! shell
  5. I don't even know what to say. . .I'm praying though!
  6. Praying. . .please let us know when you get an update about how her surgery went!
  7. YAY. . .she's in. . . oh and BTW, there are times when I'd sell my kids for one. IYKWIM
  8. I will keep your family in my prayers. . .please keep the faith! Keep your positive attitude-it will do wonders not just for you but the whole family! I think we are all being stretched and pushed outside of our comfort zones these days, we're being strengthened. . .which is a good thing. . .just doesn't always seem so at the time. . .I'm gonna check out your blog. :grouphug: shell
  9. Ladies, I hate to tell you this, but DS 11 still wipes his hands all over his clothes!

  11. Many places don't allow refreshments because so many are diabetic, we've run up against that many times! So be sure before you plan that. Sounds like fun! You're family is so sweet for doing that!
  12. We just had a nice celebratory dinner with some family immediately following. And of course everyone oozing at how proud we were!!!! We had intended to have an open house/reception type thing also but it never got planned. I wouldn't have been able to do that as a surprise, because I wouldn't have known who to invite.
  13. Wow, a hammered dulcimer. . .I'm impressed. . .I think those things are awesome!!! I think you should join us!
  14. I was summoned back in September. Where I am, the only way to get a three year exemption was to actually be selected for a jury.
  15. Having just done jury duty a few months ago, I can tell you how it went in our courtroom, but I'm sure that it would depend on your location as well. You can't just walk in a say you want to be excused and expect them to believe your answer, if you're asking to be excused, you need to have proof of the reason you need to be excused. And just saying you're the primary care giver won't completely excuse you. . .they will reschedule you, so you may need to start making arrangements to figure out what to do with kiddos just in case you get called again. There was one person in the pool that homeschooled. She was excused from this session, but had to reschedule when she wanted to serve. Again, I'm sure that varies by location and by judge. HTH!!!!!
  16. Maybe have him do it again? We've had to deal with these issues. If you cheat, you have to do the assignment again. And yes, the answers in the back of the book get ripped out and the TM's go in a tote bag with me whenever I go somewhere. It probably wasn't the ideal solution to our problem, but it worked.
  17. Agreeing with everyone else. . .I would STRONGLY encourage her to pick someone that the other 2 girls get along with and can all have fun together.
  18. I think their being puffed up for whatever reason though is causing them to be beaten down. The hypocritical "do as I preach but not what I do" has caused many people to lose faith in them. Instead of realizing that people are a little distrustful of them and them changing a bit to not seem so puffed up, they're doing the opposite and getting MORE puffed up as they get stressed out. Them getting more puffed up is just creating more hurt feelings among their church members and feeding the friction that's there. I've come across a lot of pastors that are only puffed up in their own eyes and have a God complex. . .and that has disaster written all over it. Does that make sense. . .I have a hard time getting what I'm thinking out in words. shell
  19. BUt there have probably been other years where you've reaped more than you've sown.
  20. Anytime. . .that's what I'm here for. I'm going to have to start reminding myself more often. Especially when I'm driving my luxury car (Old mitsubishi) that I'm scared will not last much longer and isn't paid for yet. As I'm driving to work everyday (which is totally optional for me. . .because I'm wealthy you know) wondering where we're going to get the money to get another car, as I'm in my upgraded (not. . .starter) home worrying about how I'm going to pay the payment and put food on the table I'll be reminding myself. You know what if this is wealthy. . .I'm quitting and getting welfare!
  21. Hey Marie, since you'll be paying more that makes you wealthy. . .ME TOO!!!!! I've been dreaming of being wealthy all my life. . .I didn't know it would feel this great:tongue_smilie:
