  1. Diagramming sentences. I ask DD to point the subject and she gives me, "The". After 4 years of FLL she gives me "the" ?!

  2. I did the whole thing. I really needed it. I moved like Frankenstein. I've lost a lot of mobility from not stretching and not moving slow.
  3. I am supposed to do this today and I am stalling. Hate YogaX.
  4. I take Shakeology which has no soy. They have two main options - Vegan and Whey. I use the Vegan though I am not vegan. They are sweetened with coconut flower nectar. Shakeology isn't just protein though and the price reflects that. I used to use Option Nutrition but they have artificial flavors and sweeteners. That really doesn't bother me because ON has some neat flavors. I like neat flavors. Would it be possible just to fry up your son some eggs for breakfast?
  5. I don't know. I could run 13 miles around my neighborhood comfortably (okay, some discomfort) but 13 on a trail is so hard. Stability is a problem but that is the challenge. Sunday's marathon, while not normally a technically difficult course, was technically difficult due to the mud. I hurt in places that I don't normally but that is all part of adventure.

  7. Yay! New people! Did my trail 1/2 marathon. Yep, it was just as hard as last time. Wow. Taking the week off. (still making my dd exercise though)
  8. Did Combat 60 with my dd yesterday. Today I woke up with a huge neck ache and other various pains so probably nothing today.
  9. I hear you. PF used to plague me all the time. I fixed it with running shoes and I always wear orthotics even orthotic flip-flops.
  10. Can you still crank out 8 miles? One lady I met told me that if you can 9, then you can do 13. Her advice is what prompted me to sign up for my first 1/2.

  13. I am like the Angel of Death training partner. Week 5 of LMC. This morning was Kickstart 30 with my dd and then I did BJJ (90 minute class). It felt so hard today.

  16. Ditto this. I don't even like running but I normally run once a week to shake out the week. It is my fantasy time. I think about cute clothes, being super organized, having great hair, and what not. Some people don't lose weight but if one is starting from coach potato then the chances are pretty good for some change. : )
  17. I can't remember if we are friends are facebook (I am getting a running FB group going) or not but anyway one of the keys to losing weight via running is heart rate. You need to get that up to the best of your ability. How much can you do currently? BTW, for improvement in any thing, it should be done 4-5 times a week.

  20. So we are both in SoCal. I am north of Temecula. You might want to try trail 1/2 marathons for something different. My goal this year is to do the Animal Series of the Dirt Devil Racing. They are based in San Diego. Dirt Devil Racing
  21. BTW, is anybody interested in a Well-Trained Runner FB group? I realize that not everybody has an FB account but I find that since the changeover, I am losing a lot of connections and threads. I could start a secret FB one so that it cannot be searched like the boards can.
