Hi this will be my first year homeschooling my kids. They are 2nd grade, 4th grade, 7th grade and 9th grade, plus I have a 1 and 3 year old. My oldest is all taken care of and doing online classes but my question is about my 2nd and 4th grader. I want to combine as much as I can so that I am not schooling 12 hours a day. Looking through the Well trained mind book I decided that I will do the history together and the science together for them but I am wondering about the Literature. They are honestly pretty close to the same reading level since my 4th grader has been a struggling reader and my 2nd grader has excelled and they really read about at the same level. So for the literature could I just teach them both the 2nd grade level recommended books? Or does my 4th grader really need to start in the 4th grade recommended books. Or since my 2nd grader is at a 4th grade reading level should I do both of them in the 4th grade recommended books? Help?!?
