  1. Hello! We are in the infancy of home ed after an interesting journey. We have two boys 8 and almost 10 and a 4.5 year old girl. We began parenting life as attachment parenting adherents and unschoolers. The education journey has been very meandering. We joined a parent run school that was founded in unschooling principles. We were there for aNumber of years, but the format was not right for my eldest child who had some sensory difficulties at that time and was unfortunately not well supported by the community We ended up enrolling in a mainstream school. The experience has been a real mixed bag. My middle child is gifted and anxious and began school refusing. My eldest is behind and struggling with sensory stuff and being incredibly clever and social, but academically finding things tough. We love the idea of a classical education but high on unit studies and following passions, moderate on structured tasks and rote practice and not interested in testing or measuring or comparing. I'm glad to be here!
