Hello all!
I have been lurking for quite awhile and have had enormous help from these forums but I can't find specific reviews on this topic. DD wants to take AP human geography and I found what looks like a great class on PA homeschoolers. I have started to have concerns however after reading the reviews from the students that indicate little if any direct teacher involvement, but rather primarily involvement with other students on their forums. The teachers credentials look amazing but if there is little involvement with the teacher it seems like it may be a waste of money. In addition, and this may be silly but it irritated me, after applying for the class (but not yet enrolled) the teacher sent a small paperback book of 100 pages by mail addressed to DD with an invoice to "have your Parent send a check for $15 plus a $5 shipping and handling fee" to the teachers home address. I know it's not that much money and she says that it is a required book for one of their lessons but it's not listed on the required reading and it just felt weird. I'd be more than willing to overlook this awkward beginning if any of your kids had a great experience with this class. Thanks in advance!!
