My son is in 7th grade and finishing up Pre-Algebra in Teaching Textbooks! When he has questions, I am no longer able to help him, so he is basically on his own with the help of Teaching Textbooks. He is making 85-90% on most lessons and quizzes. Next year, he plans to move to Alegebra I and he has a natural ability towards math. We can't afford a Math tutor, but he needs some other support. We are looking into some charter school programs where he can do math on-line program with support and there is a tutor available in person 3 days a week as well, but I don't want to be forced to do their secular curriculum because we need math help. He is our first, so we are plowing the way for the other kids as well! Any ideas?
