  1. Hi, I am new on here. I am a big fan of Vertical Phonics, having taught two to read that way and two to read via a more traditional approach..and the vertical phonics method (Spalding, TATRAS, Winters promise, and others) just seemed so much more logical. Anyway my DS 3 is about to turn 4 and interested in learning to read. But here's my problem..he is *really* musical, and I can't find a phonics program that uses Vertical Phonics and *also* music. I know for him, music would make learning to read much more enjoyable and profitable. Ideas, thoughts, curriculum I am unaware of that could fit the bill?
