  1. I thought the same until I went to buy it. They are both sold new right next to each other at my homeschool store. So, I wondered what the difference was.
  2. I'm in the same boat, and about to give Analytical Grammar a try. Check out their website: http://www.analyticalgrammar.com/
  3. What is the difference between plain old Wordly Wise and Wordly Wise 3000? I'm buying for 6th and 8th graders. Thanks!
  4. My ds, entering 8th grade, has completed the Easy Grammar curriculum, but never learned sentence diagramming. I need to switch all the kids over to a better curriculum, but don't know how well they will transition over. They are independent learners, for the most part, and I never learned sentence diagramming growing up. Any recommendations?
  5. I answered 4, but we only do school 4 days per week. I also have a very focused 12-year-old.
  6. Reminds me of a friend who finally had her son tested, and he had dyslexia.
  7. After 3 years, we've decided to do away with Saxon. Although it is effective, it has just become too much of a dreaded chore, taking more than an hour to complete a lesson. My kids who once loved math are starting to despise it. DS is finishing up Saxon 1/2, so he will begin Jacobs Algebra. But what about my soon-to-be 6th grade DD, who also enjoys math, and my 4th grade DS, who would rather be doing anything else but school work? What math curriculum (other than Saxon) would be a good foundation prior to using Harold Jacobs? TIA
