My daughter is 5 and will be 6 in September. We are still working on learning her numbers and ABC's (recognizing symbol, sound, and writing). She is smart...I do not think it is a learning disablitity. She does not have a problem with math concepts (greater, lesser, more than, less than, patterns....) but she cannot seem to learn her numbers. It is the same thing with the alphabet.
She loves to color, cut, paste, glitter, and create. I have tried to incorporate this in to learning but she still struggles. I can tell she is a lot like her older brother and has difficulty getting things wrong. She wants so much to be right that she closes down her mind.
I am looking for suggestions for games, books, or rhymes that might help. Nothing too involved or expensive, but items that I would have around the house or would find at the library.
Thank you,
Hillary
