  1. My kids really liked Surviving Jamestown. Read it last year and they are still talking about it.
  2. Yes, 9 year old twins using same curriculum and learning together. They usually work very well with each other, although there are times when they both want to answer an oral question and quibble over whose turn it is. They are so fun and interesting. Sometimes when I am explaining something new and one doesn't quite get it the other one will say that she can explain it so that her sister will understand.
  3. The homeschool gymnastics class that my two children take is 1 hour per week, $40 per child, and there is a $30 registration fee.
  4. Both of my kids got upset when I asked them if they wanted to switch to a different math program next year. So it looks like we will be using CLE math again. This was our first year using it and I thought it was great. I didn't realize that they were thinking the same thing, :D. Kim
  5. We were told by the speech therapist our daughter saw at age 6 that the "r" sound is the last one to work on. Our daughter tested out of speech therapy having mastered all other sounds but "r". The therapist told us it is totally developmental and if she is still having trouble past 8, then we will start working on it again. She just turned 8 recently and she has improved on her own, but it is still hard for her.
  6. If you need to have the CD in to use the program, does this mean that my 2 students doing the same grade would not be able to work on TT at the same time. Just interested in how it works before I purchase.
  7. Thanks to everyone for sharing how you use and like CLE or FLL or both. We did a few lessons of CLE last week and I plan on trying FLL this week. I'm going to try and get a feel for which one my kids will prefer. I still think they each look great, we'll see how it goes. Thanks again to all.
  8. Thanks so much jannylynn and emagine. Adding AAS and possibly WWE is what I have been considering so I'm happy to hear that the combination has been successful. Another question I have would be the amount of time it takes to do these. Also jannylynn I see you are using CLE reading too. How much time does it add?
  9. Emagine- Thanks for your response, I'm glad to hear that CLE LA is working well for you and your son. Would you mind telling some specific things about CLE that you prefer. Thanks for your time.
  10. My twins will be starting third grade next week. I still haven't made up my mind on using FLL 3 or CLE language arts with them. I already have them both and like what I see in each. I have thought about starting out with both to see which one fits the kids better, but I do not want to overload them right from the start. I would appreciate hearing from others on your experience with FLL and CLE.
