  1. I don't know because I usually go super simple for myself, but I just want to mention that often gf/df foods don't have a lot of fat. If I'm not paying attention to that, I can get pretty hungry. A regular sandwich is going to have cheese, or oil or something that bumps up the fat. Well, and when you take away bread and cheese (or other dairy), you've lost a lot of calories. A sandwich on a lettuce leaf, minus cheese, is WAY fewer calories than one on bread with cheese.
  2. That is SO not bedtime reading. Yikes!
  3. I don't really believe anything either, except the obvious stuff, like you said. Mostly, I just think, "Well, that's interesting." And then I wait and see.
  4. Do instead of or? Where are you?
  5. I think we all agree on that. You can use "might be able to" OR "could be able," but not "might could" together.
  6. to what? You might be able to .... what?
  7. I've got nothing. I'm just laughing!
  8. What's wrong with that? j/k
  9. Might could is a little dubious. It means everything about this is a little out of my control. If I say, "I might," then it sounds that if I want to I will. And if I say, "I could," then it sounds that nothing prevents me. But if I say, "Might could," well, then a lot could go wrong and I just might not. It is a possibility, within a realm of possibilities, and I just can't be held accountable.
  10. "Needs fixing" doesn't work for me. Makes me squirm, lol.
  11. What pictures? I only see 2 on that page, both of the outside of the building. nm. Found it on zillow.
  12. I can see why "might could' bothers people, but not "needs fixed". I think I can usually clean up my act when I'm with people that require it, but now I'm not sure. How many more things like "needs fixed" do I say? Lol! I'm not distraught, btw, just very, very curious.
  13. I do the "needs thing", too. Guess I'm all sorts of messed up.
  14. Lol. Well, it rolled off my brain, like it ought to be. Then, when I reread it, I began to question myself.
  15. I'm very familiar with "used to could", except it is pronounced more like, "yousta could."
  16. So, you sitting around and someone throws out a theoretical question, "Do you think you could get a car to fly?" And someone replies, "Yeah, you might could, if you could figure out how to get up enough speed." It's like saying "yes, but maybe."
  17. I replied in another thread and used "might could." It sort of bothered me, but it also seemed to fit (as in, normal to my ear). I've lived lots of places, and I don't know where I picked that up. Any ideas? Any opinions on the usage of "might could"?
  18. Southeast. And it really depends the store. I'd have to work at it to get that low. Canned pineapple is easily 89 cents, though.
  19. Bacon wrapped pineapple is awesome. Only need a package of bacon, and a can of pineapple. You might could pull that off at Aldi's or someplace similar.
  20. Have you ever read through the personality types according to Myers Briggs? I found that SO enlightening to so many of my relationships. He might be an ENTJ. They are pretty rare, but highly focused, and pretty unflappable. Usually, it takes something inefficient or illogical, or truly hopeless, to upset them. Being very aware and charismatic is part of their personality, but they aren't that was because of the people, rather, they are driving to an end goal. When they don't have a goal, the people don't matter so much. That's not to say that an entj is cold. Actually, they are often very altruistic, and their end goal is the betterment of society, or just the current environment. However, it wouldn't be odd for them to say, "Yeah, but I'll have to do my laundry." Annoying, yes, but his goals aren't yours, and he retains the bigger picture of what he is trying to accomplish. They do enjoy parties, but often look at like a challenge, rather than fun. Maybe he's something else, and reading through the personality types will help you to see the finer points of his nature.
  21. Don't cats like to sit in cardboard boxes? Maybe you could make a cat kit with lots of options. Then it would seem Santa really gave it his best shot. I like the letter, too.
  22. I don't think you can get messages if they have already been sent, but if your dh's phone is similar to yours, you can put your sim card in his phone, and will receive text messages as if it is yours. Sorry for that terrible sentence. I'm too tired to do a better job.
  23. I'm sorry. I hope you can figure out something to help your guy. :(
  24. Can he maybe chew gum? Or if during the drop in programs he was also given a snack to carry around with him, maybe he would eat the snack instead of things that hurt him?
